He did not sign a contract that he had to do what is best for the other owners at the expense of his own team.
He must certainly did not sign a contract that said he forfeited the right to appeal unjust penalties for offenses that were not actually committed.
He CHOSE to do that.

Pretty obvious we disagree about what would or could have happened. I strongly disagree the Wells report was even a "report." If it was it was reason to drop everything. It was a custom made predetermined frame and not a good one at that.

He consulted his lawyers and they said there wasn't much he could do. So, he won 2 SBs and still made plenty of money and Brady certainly seems to like him. I couldn't care less about him. He built a stadium in a horrible place to do it, being fan since 1961 and an observer of Boston corruption too. He's a good owner, by any measure. I like watching the game, but I don't slit my wrists over things.

Well, if Kraft was going to get rid of this pox on humanity now would have been the time to do it but he doesn't want to. And that scares me more than anything given Kraft's normal sound business sense. I just don't get it. The League Office is a sewer pit of mismanagement.

Yes, he would be better off the less he says. I actually didn’t realize this part about kraft. I assumed he was a good owner. This shows me who he is. A weasel type owner who won’t go to war for the team. Not only that but seems he puts the league first. I don’t understand it.
What I dislike the most about deflate gate is that stupid people who don’t even watch football argue with me and have the idea that Brady was on the field with a needle tool removing air from the ball. I’ve had that argument seven times over my hat. So, now my hat can be the kickoff for a bitter argument and one that turned into a brawl.
So, I am only a fan and I will not stop wearing my hat. Will go to the mat on this and spy gate or coin flip or whatever so I see it in that light. Having him cave in like this and talk about it doesn’t make sense in my brain at all

On the subjects argued in the thread. I see it this way and I’ve been saying it all along. Roger has pretty much wrecked football. The league is imploding in that it’s just no good. Once these guys are gone, I can’t see myself wasting time on something that’s become less enjoyable. Now the why of it is fairly simple. When people make stuff up, suspend players over something that stupid, it shows me that the fairness is not there and the league wants pairity at any price. My concept of competition and what I started watching football for has become illusory. Right now my motivation to watch is to see the final years we can get.perhaps I’m wrong and will come back to watch games even when they are gone but I doubt it. Not a bandwagon fan or fair weather.. not at all but what’s the motivation to watch a rigged league?

It makes perfect sense once you realize that (a) he doesn't care about you or any fan (other than perhaps the big $ ones), and (b) he only cares about the team to the extent it lets him rake in the cash and capital gains and allows him to get a self-esteem flash from hanging out with the Other 31 and Roger and Being An Owner. The team selling much of its Superbowl ticket allotment to scalpers...I mean partners...instead of putting them into the STH lottery and turfing out decades-long STHs to build the Optum Lounge are just two examples of just how much Kraft "cares" about the fans.

Now, it's nice for the fans that his management style is to let BB run all the football, to be sure. So I'll certainly give him credit for that and for learning from his own past (remember the stopwatch days and letting players bypass the coach to whine to the GM and to him personally). But don't confuse that with giving a damn about the fans.
