I'm not impressedEric Lee appears to have long arms, but no burst or change of direction. Poor man's Deatrich Wise.
Wish we had claim Ifeadi Odenigbo from the Vikings. That team has done a great job recently drafting pass rushers and Ifeadi's a victim of the depth that the Vikings have at DE
What's the difference between a #7 and the hoard of free agents that Belichick signs every year? Virtually nothing. You win some, you lose some. We got Van Noy and a #7 for a #6. Combine these deals, we gave up a #5 and #6 for Van Noy. Good deal.
Yeah, he was in my pre-draft mock for us. Very powerful, stout player. At the very least, I know for a fact that he can set the edge.
I can't remember if you have to waive a player on his rookie contract (which Cassius should have been) to IR them now.
Yeah he was shockingly bad...not a good trade, but you can't win them all. Between him, and Ealy, I do think it's fair to ask who exactly is scouting pro D-ends and making recommendations? 2 big whiffs.
Interesting - Marsh was just too small to fill Ninkos shoes. He couldn’t seal the edge or play the run
He consistently gave up the edge. Bill said "enough "A mild surprise, I had hopes for him evolving into something here. More wasted draft picks.
May have seen him in last years joint camp with HoustonMost surprising thing to me is that it took BB 11 weeks into the season to decide to cut bait. Not that I thought/predicted at any time that Marsh would sucked so bad he deserved to be cut. It just seems weird timing (took so long) to be figuring it out. And then grabbing some guy off Jills PS, it's not like he can have seen much film on a PS guy, other than college stuff.
Really? You were there? This puts a whole new spin on things. He consistently gave up the edge. Bill said "enough "
Do you mean Justin Coleman who is starting for them and currently has a better coverage rating than any CB on our roster? Coleman has played excellent for Seattle. The Pats received a 3rd round pick with Ealy. They essentially traded back 9 spots..
Also, Doug Kyed is misleading people because the 7th round pick that went to the Seahawks the Pats had acquired FROM the Seahawks for Coleman. So, they actually gave up Coleman and a 5th for Marsh..
So it's not as bad as people are making it out.
He had a mental block setting the edge
The Pats eco-friendly pass rush lost its marsh and rivers. Now it's down to a branch and two flowers.
And a wise guy.
Regards,
Chris
I would have settled for Marsh's mental block.Actually the block was far more physical than mental for the reason he couldn't set the edge
