Cassius Marsh Released

Wish we had claim Ifeadi Odenigbo from the Vikings. That team has done a great job recently drafting pass rushers and Ifeadi's a victim of the depth that the Vikings have at DE

Yeah, he was in my pre-draft mock for us. Very powerful, stout player. At the very least, I know for a fact that he can set the edge.

Interesting - Marsh was just too small to fill Ninkos shoes. He couldn’t seal the edge or play the run

More importantly he possesses critical insider information of what makes the Bills juggernaut tick.

I can't remember if you have to waive a player on his rookie contract (which Cassius should have been) to IR them now.

Yes. All players after the trade deadline have to be waived regardless of their contract status..

Yeah he was shockingly bad...not a good trade, but you can't win them all. Between him, and Ealy, I do think it's fair to ask who exactly is scouting pro D-ends and making recommendations? 2 big whiffs.

The Pats received a 3rd round pick with Ealy. They essentially traded back 9 spots..

Also, Doug Kyed is misleading people because the 7th round pick that went to the Seahawks the Pats had acquired FROM the Seahawks for Coleman. So, they actually gave up Coleman and a 5th for Marsh..

So it's not as bad as people are making it out.

Soooooo, why not Ninkovich, I know it’s been discussed in here and by the player. Has to be better Lee, even as he gets up to speed.

Most surprising thing to me is that it took BB 11 weeks into the season to decide to cut bait. Not that I thought/predicted at any time that Marsh would sucked so bad he deserved to be cut. It just seems weird timing (took so long) to be figuring it out. And then grabbing some guy off Jills PS, it's not like he can have seen much film on a PS guy, other than college stuff.
May have seen him in last years joint camp with Houston

Marsh had a big special teams play this year. Blocked FG IIRC. So not all bad. Just not athletic enough to stay on the field defensively I guess.

He consistently gave up the edge. Bill said "enough "
Really? You were there? This puts a whole new spin on things.

Do you mean Justin Coleman who is starting for them and currently has a better coverage rating than any CB on our roster? Coleman has played excellent for Seattle.

Actually the block was far more physical than mental for the reason he couldn't set the edge
I would have settled for Marsh's mental block.

Just roll his brain out there and it would have tripped up ball carriers in the backfield all by itself
