Rob Ryan on the Pats and BB

Add in the glowing comments from Tony La Russa, Tom Crean, and (last week?) Brad Stevens,

and it seems like lots of coaches are eager to visit

When they do, they always seem to "bend the knee"

The amazing thing is that BB also visits many other coaches too, at places big and small (remember Chip Kelly and UNH), to make himself better. That is the OPPOSITE of arrogance, which the haters claim he has in abundance.

(Although I doubt Rexy would be so full of praise as Rob is. Seems more like the Harbaugh brothers situation).

Keep in mind Rob was LB coach here during the 1st dynasty and BB has a ton of respect for Buddy.

I think there is genuine respect between BB, Rob and even Mr. Feet.

Its the same hate that Kobe gets. A true student of the game never stops picking the brain (or in Kobe's case moves) of others to better themselves regardless of what detractors claim.

btw - im sure all NFL coaches would love for more exNFL coaches to enter college game . and its not just to improve their job security there seems to be a growing gap of having those kids ready for NFL football and guys like Rob could certainly help there..

I know they are twins, but it's amazing how Rob sounds SO MUCH like Rex. If you close your eyes you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
