Interesting name, UDFA who was injured. There's some good info on him on other threads but they're all locked.

I wonder if he has the inside scoop about Keionta Davis, who is apparently recovering from a bulging disk. I liked Davis in the draft, and it turns out that Belichick flew down to work him out personally. I'd like to see Davis end up here if he heals properly.

Ooh, that's pretty interesting for a mid-camp pickup. A number of our resident draftniks liked Davis as high as the middle rounds before the injury was reported. He's a sturdily built FCS prospect who racked up good sack numbers, here's the measurable line:

6'3" 271, 4.72 30 37.5" 10'01" 4.62 7.64

Is he healthy now?

I looked forward to see some Dwayne Thomas yesterday. He was in for the first punt return but then strangely never came on the field on D.

Maybe it is injury related. We'll see in a couple of days if he's not claimed if he is put on IR. On this crowded secondary might actually be a blessing.

Probably our thinnest position on the team...hope he can help. Wonder if we're going to look at Freeney at some point?

I liked Davis coming into last year but just didn't see the year to year progress to earn grade better than 6th-7th rounder.

He's a fighter. A Worker. A guy who gets it done with toughness, hands and awareness. Not a flashy guy but nothing wrong with that if the player understands his limits and role on the team. I believe 35 inch arms?

Really productive player.

Suffered a knee injury in high school.

Can't wait to see him in live action.

Just hit the mute button. Here's a look.

Related to the injury to Wise?

I've been waiting for this! Davis was in a lot of my mock drafts, and I talked about him several times in my pre-draft "If I were GM" type post as a target for the 5th - 7th round territory. He has some coaching connections with the Patriots, so I had a strong hunch that he would end up here, and I really liked his game as a powerful base end. He physically dominates people--or at least he did at his level of competition--and he had some good showings against higher level of competition. I was surprised he went undrafted until I learned about the back injury. I've actually checked on his recovery several times over the last few months to see when he's healthy and ready to play.

Proof: here's a screengrab of my Google history for Keionta Davis. I searched for him again just two weeks ago, to read up on his recovery progress. Super happy about this! Officially a training camp binkie.

No one will call you a bandwagon Davis fan if he ever breaks out in the NFL.
I promise

No. Planned before hand

Very possibly.

Still, even though it's now being reported that Wise will only be out a week, the Pats still might have brought in another DE to fill the gap in practice teams. While the team may indeed have a clear preference for Davis and for exploring his potential, the fact that they shed a DB instead of another DE (like Kidder) to get him on the roster makes that a bit murky at the moment, I think.

"Partially went undrafted..."?

Seventh and a Half Round. The Secret Round.

Sort'f like The Shadow Roster. ;)

Haven't dissect'm yet. Hey, what can I say? I've got 2 Jobs, I go to School, and I Work Out!! But he's definitely on my Hit List. 1st Impression? Straight Line Guy, but with a Frame perfect for Mashing the Run and for the Bull Rush.

For me, it's all gonna come down to Combat Skills and Intangibles. I thought much the same about Trey Flowers, to whom I'd give a Beast Grade in 2015.

"Partially went undrafted..."?

Meaning it was one of the reasons he went undrafted.

It's Twitter and not a published-edited manuscript: "went undrafted partially due to . . ." is clearly what he meant to say. A 2-position word misplacement in the sentence/post.

Still funny, but not a huge literary crime (especially if you consider twitter an extension of the spoken language, versus written).
