It's not the Pats style or Ninko's. I'd like that too, but that'll never happen in NE . . . other than maybe Brady if he ever chose to retire this late in the offseason.

That's a great point. Brady would be the ONLY guy they'd do that for. And rightfully so.

all quiet on reporting front.
great that you can find this bootleg clips

Burkhead solid PP on Bates
Freeny w a slow start to TC . 3rd/4th stringers..
King looks like a strong PS candidate

They must be waiting until it's over to explode and Tweet.

He has. Perhaps he's a bit melancholy like the rest of us for Nink. Take the attention away from him.

It would be cool if Nink came out for a curtain call or something.

Remember when Lynch decided that enough was enough, BB put him in for the whole of the fourth pre-season game so he could run around hitting people for the last time? That's the Patriots way!

Quickie one-on-one notes:

  • Cam Fleming bounced back nicely today, going 2-0.
  • Dominating wins: Joe Thuney, Ted Karras, Tony Garcia, Deatrich Wise, Malcolm Browns, Trey Flowers.
  • Offense wins: 13-9-7.
  • Van Noy continues to get work with the edge players.

Grissom good push vs. Cannon on 11 v 11s. Still starting across Flowers

DL doing damn well vs. run

Thuney seems to be having a very good camp from the few things I've read about him. I definitely hope he builds on what was a very good rookie campaign. Van Noy is someone I said from the start I was interested in watching. I think he could work very well coming off the edge. He seems to be especially good with finding the gaps when he stunts, and that's something Ninkovich did a lot the past two to three seasons especially.

still looked painfully ineffective in clips posted here last 3 days . if he could make that 3rd yr jump it would be huge . somehow its hard to see it
Grissom running with the 1s to me is not a sign of where he stands but a sign of a) assessing whether he can play against 1s abd b) making new guys earn playing with the 1s,a BB standard.

That guy is on the outside looking in, IMO. He has a lot to prove this TC.

I don't think there is an outside looking in.
Players come to camp and earn jobs.
Naturally better players have a better chance but players don't start with strikes against them.
Grissom actually has advantage because of his specials teams success

I seem to be getting Hollister and Carr mixed up. Which one is supposed to be the next Edelman?

Agreed. Like the constructive approach to this post, Andy.
(constructive meaning building together . not tearing apart)

The vids showed the reps are still a bit too fast for Rivers, Langi (probably also Wise etc) at the moment - IMO
With Ninko and High out and Ealy disciplined . Grissom is the lone choice at the moment (Id guess they'll put Guy there at times as well).
Still it would be nice to see some improvement . looking at DE depth..

I think we will see a lot of guy at LDE on early downs.
