Without your knowledge, the pet-sitter brings another person to your house. It is a person that you do not know, who hadn't met your dog, who hadn't ever been invited into your locked, high-security home.

That uninvited 3rd party is then bitten by the dog. The owner is responsible?

That's messed up.

It sounds like it was a dangerous dog, but this is a matter of fleecing a rich guy for money.
