No one wants to be a Jet . . .

Lol between the Dolphins pick and now the rats pick. This is freaking awesome! I wish people with an account from the lolphins and rats forum would post this stuff and rub it in.

What happened with the Ravens??

It's all very good and all but this guy is alienating his team mates before he even meets them. Can't bode well for his future there and...oh yeah that's right...nevermind.
Might be a clever ploy to shoot his way out of town and hope another team picks him up. He might have the right idea.

Some of the sensitive posters here are going to be offended that he deleted the Tweet. They're going to say it's disrespectful to the Patriots.

The Jets suck and the best way to give them undeserved respect is by creating more threads about them. They should be ignored because they don't matter.

Agree. I've never understood the obsession with this team by so many Pats fans. They are irrelevant. They beat us in a playoff game a few years ago, but they way we played that day we would have lost to anybody. Besides stealing Curtis Martin from us, what have they ever done to us that had any real impact? They are a mosquito. I could not care less what the Jets do.

They used to call it a border war, and there is a lot to it actually. Jets take Parcells AND Belichick away in 1997, take Curtis Martin 1998. We HATED them then. And of course Parcells and Belichick got them from 1-15 to 12-4 in 3 years and into the AFCCG..

THEN.. We get Belichick when he retires from the NYJ as HC. There was a ton of hate. And of course you touched on 2010, which if you are a Pats fan, and THAT game did not make you horribly sick I don't know what to say.

Ty Law going to the Jets was way worse than Curtis Martin leaving to me.
One guy I always wanted on the Pats from the Jets.
Wayne Chrebet my favorite Jet

I really thought David Harris could have been great in bb's defense.

The jets turned him into mediocrity at it's worst in one poorly designed defensive scheme after another!

Of course that game was disgusting. But it was no worse than the 2005 playoff game against Denver or the biggest gag job in history in the 07 Superbowl. What am I supposed to do, seethe about it for the rest of my life? If I'm going to be mad at anybody it's going to be the Pats for not showing up against a vastly inferior team. Like I said, the Jets had nothing to do with it. They were just the team that was on the field when the Pats **** their pants. I don't really remember Law leaving that well. But I do remember him being a ***** about it. And I remember him having trouble staying healthy towards the end of it. My recollection is that he shot his way out of town via greed. I remember his "I got to feed my family" ********.

Sorry, I don't know what to say. I just view the Jets as a sad, irrelevant joke. Outside of the preferential treatment they get from Roger they are no different to me than the Browns, Rams, Bucs or any of these perpetually awful teams.

Page 1 of the Jets Suck Thread should give you some more insight.

Beyond that, to me and many others, it's just an extension of the life-long BOS-NY sports hatred. A lot of people who don't get that are people who are post-early-2000s Boston sports fans. For those of us who became Boston sports fans before this era, almost all of us hate all NY sports teams. In the era where the Pats are routinely excellent, the Sox have actually won a few post-1912 World Series, and the Bruins and the Celts have hoisted a few banners too, the BOS-NY rivalry just doesn't seem to be a part of the DNA of the newer Boston sports fans. Also the Pats have acquired a lot more out-of-town fans than it ever did back in the pre-BB era, and they don't necessarily participate in the BOS-NY sports rivalry.

What? Martin went to the Jets in his prime. Bill was finished with Law when he let him go.
We needed Law do you not forget how awful our secondary was the revolving door.
He still played at a top level for 3 to 4 seasons after we let him go.
That cost us a Lombardi when we lost to paymeaton and his ridiculous comeback when the the Patriots couldn't stop a nosebleed in the passing game.
Remember the backers went down and Dallas Clark went nuts.
If we had Ty Law he would of made at least one play in that game.
Plus we got some good heard from Terry Allen and Antwoin Smith the Robert Edwards thing was a sad situation.
This is why I think Law was the bigger loss and one of our worst personnel mistakes.

I'm surprised more guys who play for the lesser 31 don't vent their frustrations on social media.

Agreed. Ty did have one good season with the jets, but that was it. He had a second stint with them later that was nothing

CM on the other hand spent his prime years in the swamp

If money was no object Bill would have kept him.

If I recall we weren't that much against the cap.
