In the Brady six when he says "and I want to earn it. Every. Single. Day." I get goosebumps Every time and want to go run thru a brick wall. Just the intensity and how genuine and real it feels. I complete understand why he is the leader he is and how he gets his team mates to play so hard. IMO a very under rated aspect of Brady is how his TEAMS play bigger than their parts
i dunno... looks like some of them werent even paying attentionWow !! Goose bump city. Can you imagine what those kids must've been feeling while sitting there ? They were probably ready to run through a wall after that.

Thanks. I'd seen it before, but it's the sort of thing that never gets old. I think he goes to Michigan every season and I also think that this was before he won in SB XLIX.
I feel like Henson was one of those guys you hated in high school who was naturally gifted but didn't work anywhere close to as hard as Brady. After he went off to play baseball and saw Brady win three Super Bowls, I'd be willing to bet he had the attitude of, "well if Brady can do it, I was better than him so I should be able to do it". So I enjoyed seeing him try his luck and then fail miserably in the NFL while here Brady is, having won two more and looking like he's got several more left in him. Just proves that hard work beats natural ability, and it's been great seeing Brady have the success he's had. Good for him - and obviously usMaybe more recently. Not for a while though. It looks like this visit coincided with a pre-season game against the Lions in 2013. It was Brady's first visit since 2007 according to this Globe article:
Tom Brady visits Michigan football team - The Boston Globe
Everyone at Michigan loves Brady now, but back then, not so much. Tom will never admit it, but he had a really tough time at Michigan, and if you think he carries a chip on his shoulder for Goodell and for being a 6th-round pick, he's also got one for Lloyd Carr and the boosters and the fans who would boo him in favour of Henson.
It's been a slow thaw over the past decade and a half. Harbaugh has helped bridge that gap. And the Deflategate suspension gave Brady time to actually go to a home game, where he could finally be recognized by all Michigan fans properly.
This link (ESPN for those without ad blockers) covers it in pretty good detail:
How Tom Brady got to feel the Michigan embrace ... finally
Yeah, saw this a while ago. I'm thinking he'll do more of this sorta thing when he hangs it up for good just to stay close to the game.

I hope that guy ran through the wall backwards.
One of the (many) things I've always respected about TB12 is that he never has a bad word to say about Lloyd Carr, when one suspects that his feelings are quite different. BB is on the record several times saying that they waited so long to pick him because, "it kind of made you think when he couldn't win the [starter's] job outright" from the beginning.
Another case where Brady allows his father to speak for him, I think.
No way to argue against that, since it requires talking about what might have happened if something that didn't happen, happened.I really hated the way Carr dealt with that whole situation, but I have to admit, I don't think Brady would have achieved what he has today if he hadn't. Tom Sr. said similar in a few articles I read as well.
But having to compete for your starting job every week, every day in practice, every night you spend every available hour poring over game film, that helped forge Brady into the GOAT. And his dad said he's never heard his son say a bad word about Carr, and he was shocked to find out Tom had written a nice note thanking Carr for all his help when he had finally retired. So I think even if he hated the process, he knows it mattered too.
