This is possibly the best Patriot's video on YouTube.

Old timers like myself (I'm 54) will eat this up. Just so many great memories, both good and bad. Just amazing stuff. I love the history of the NFL, especially Patriot's history.

Stopped it after Chuck Fairbanks left. Will save for a rainy day.

Thanks.

That was a great morning video watch with a cup of coffee. Thanks

Glad you liked it. So many great memories. It's weird how many players you remember even during the lean years. As far as the early good teams, Loved those 1976 and 1985 teams. Amazing that though they were 9 seasons apart, you still had greats that were on BOTH teams. Grogan, Morgan, Hannah, Adams, and one of my all time favorites, Steve Nelson.

Then that 1996 team, though they lost in the SB, a decent amount of those guys were cornerstones of the 2001, 2003 and 2004 dynasty teams.

To think, since 1996, 20 seasons, the Pats have been in 40% of the Super Bowls, and have won 25% of them. We are truly blessed. From 1967 to 1995, ONE Super Bowl appearance. But even during some lean years, it was always a treat for me to watch the Pats on TV. Didn't see them often in NY, sometimes only twice a year vs the Jets.

Us " Old Timers" can remember back 50 years like it was yesterday ....the only problem is we can't remember where we put our glasses down 10 minutes ago or why we were in a room. We knew we were there looking for something...Oh yeah, my glasses !

Side note: Stanley " The Steamer" Morgan moved into the house next door to us in Plainville when he was a rookie.....Nice guy...We had his wife over for supper...I think he was on the road for a game that particular weekend......Quiet guy that pretty much kept to himself.

Been a Pats fan since their inception...Was a Giant's fan prior to that as back then there was no Boston/ New England team to root for....

Might I add, so great to hear Gil and Gino on these highlights as well, brings back so many great memories. I can imagine him calling James White's game winning SB. "White is down, AND IN !" "Patriots win the Super Bowl, AGAIN !"

Huh? Video is 2 hours long! You must have a coffee cup the size of a trashcan.

Yeah I'm definitely splitting up across a few days.

Excellent Post, Thanx.
So cool to look back on Pats '76 with Grogan. That was an awesome team. I remember that Pats/Raiders PO Game well. Sugar Bear Hamilton getting robbed on a call for Stabler late or they were going to Super Bowl to play my other fave team Vikings & Tarkenton.
In '78 I went into a Touch Football League and named my team Grogan's Heroes.

You're welcome. 1976 (I was 14) was my first playoff experience as a Pat's fan, and I was SO pissed off about that loss to the Raiders. What a ripoff, still pissed off 40 years later, because that was one of my favorite Pat's teams and I wanted a championship for them. They beat the LA Raiders on the way to the SB in the 85 season, but 25 years after 1976, the Pats finally got revenge on the Oakland Raiders and went on to WIN a SB.
