If we put together all the years Blount played in NE and look at it from a broader spectrum we will realize last year was the exception, not the rule, he played way beyond his average play in previous years so it's worth questioning if he's going to repeat that performance, one year older in RB years.
That said, the fumble on the SB, it was not very characteristic of him, he is not a liability in ball security and it was a heck of a play by the Falcons player. Then the TV footage closed on him on the sidelines and he was very sad, like disappointed, not pissed throwing the helmet on the ground, and I felt so sorry for the guy at that moment instead of being pissed, I knew it was going to be a 14 point swing, but nonetheless I think I never saw a player so sad like that on the sidelines, I could feel he was sad for disappointing coach Bill and his teammates and for failing on the biggest stage. He didn't do a lot on the SB after that, he made a few plays later on second half but couldn't score a TD.
LG has been a true Patriot in my eyes, he totally bought into the program, he likes to be here, is a big fan of TB12, a good teammate and wants to stay so I would give the guy another shot to be a piece of a RBBC system, but we could benefit from an upgrade for sure.
