Reading the RB section made me think about Blount. He far outplayed his contract, but as the article says, he wasn't quite as effective in the playoffs. And unfortunately I don't see BB giving him a contract rewarding for him this season, that doesn't seem to be his style. Which is too bad, I really like the guy, his actions with White and Brady right after the game ended were amazing.

The Patriots definitely don't give contracts based on past performance, but the flipside is: who would? A 30-year-old power back who wore out his welcome with a couple of other teams isn't going to be commanding big long-term deals in FA.

Blount seems like a happy and popular guy on this team, my guess is that he'll be back.
