Bedard: How the Patriots can win Super Bowl LI

Cant say I disagree with any of it. That's pretty much how we have to play them.

This is actually some of the best analysis I've read, albeit a bit predictable. It'll be interesting to see how much of it plays out in reality.

Especially chipping those backs out of the backfield. We have to counter our lack of athleticism at LB by throwing them off of their routes.

This is Ninko and High's "wheelhouse" right here. I expect a lot of High on the edge, especially if Mack is playing well. If not, that A-Gap blitz could be a monster. I have not seen NE employ it all that much since the Browns. Maybe the Jets game?

Sure would be nice to see Ninko and Long show up big tomorrow night. Sheerd too.

A repeated dose of running n then play action against a smallish n young secondary can yield big time dividends

Sheard showing some of what he showed last season and during the preseason would be right on time! I hope Flowers continues be so disruptive as well. We need to be able to get home with just four consistently.

Ehh... I mean this quote

"You can’t win a Super Bowl in the first seven minutes, but you could lose one. "

literally doesn't make sense.

But sure. I guess it's an alright analysis.

I still say we throw on that weak secondary all day-- outgun the gunners. The simple fact is they cannot return the favor on offense. For all the talk of how good their offense is, they haven't played a legitimate (healthy) defense yet, and it's why they can put up such numbers. I mean, I could put up Joe Montana numbers against a pop warner squad, js.

The game plan is simple

On O: Play action, deep to Hogan, Amendola, Mitchell and Bennett. On third down, dink to Minitron, Lewis, and White. Once we have a sizeable lead, run it down their throats with Blount.

On D: bend don't break. Contain the QB. Cover 2 on Julio. Send Chung in on first downs. Hightower and Chung contain the running backs. Force one or two turnovers (Butler, Harmon, Ryan).

Special Teams: DONT MISS ANY GODDAMN FGs, Ghost!!

We'll win this thing in spectacular fashion.

When I hear nonstop mentions of "Julio" I can't stop thinking of Lamont's friend on Sanford and Son
