The difference between Welker and Edelman

JE is exponentially better than Welker was

That's a fact...end of story!!!!!!!

If one disagrees, they don't know the game of football

Emotion has nothing to do with this conversation

That is pure gold. There are some posters here who would prefer that thing remain buried with a stake driven through its heart.
I have no emotion connected to Welker

How could I?

I hate myself for reading this thread to the end!

What purpose does this thread serve? Can't change the outcome of these games.

This forum is terrific, it allows one poster to dump his hate for one player that carried the Pats in many games. We are about to prepare for #5 and we have this ****. This thread should be closed, just my opinion.

Watching that Welker drop gives me anxiety... please make it stop

So that statement puts the blame of AH's two first down drops, Branch's drops, Brady's incompletions, Brady's safety, Brady's interception thrown to a hobbled Gronk (a healthy Gronk prevents that) all on Welker's shoulders.

That drop hurt and it's the one we remember the most but it wasn't the only reason they lost that Super Bowl.

Butler's interception wasn't the only reason they won the 2014 SB either.

Plus Manningham's catch where Chung was late in his read in Cover 2. **** happens.

Sorry dude but your post is all about emotion.

Different players. Different roles in the offense.

I was thinking the exact same thing. We've had these "Do you love or hate Welker" threads over and over, and I'm sure we'll be seeing them again in the future. But usually they pop up in the doldrums of the off-season. The timing of this one, on the day that the Drive For Five playoffs start, is a bit curious

Because the lamenting cant-let-it-go crowd wants to throw knives at the reason this isn't a drive for #6

to be fair, welkers was a tougher catch

It was a tough catch, but one you have to make.

No need to pile on Wes though... He'll never have a ring, and that's punishment enough.

There were 600 other times Welker caught the ball. He caught more passes than just about anybody on the planet while he was playing here.

(I really like both players)

No need to apologize because I had no emotion in that post RW.

The use of exclamation points is just a form of prose.

My post was purely fact

Damn, I didn't realize there were so many crybabies on this board. "Please make the bad man stop, mommy!"

Wes Welker belongs in the Patriots Hall of Fame for his contributions to this team, despite that drop of a less than stellar pass from Brady. Good grief.
