So if hes having the surgery tomorrow that'll make 1/27/2017 exactly 8 weeks.
Super Bowl is Feb 5th.
Hmmmm.
My friend of a similar age and circumstances had a (mild) heart attack and his therapy was getting into a swimming pool with two smoking hot therapists. Strange how these things work, eh?
No, but he did put down Beastmode at the goal-line.
I'm sure you appreciate the enormous uncertainty in such estimates. The first clue will be whether or not BB puts him on IR this week. If not, there will be constant reevaluation and the longer we go the better the odds. Still, he would not be in football shape, and I would not bet on it. But Gronk is an irreplaceable difference maker, so if there is even a small chance of returning, I would guess Bill would preserve the option as long as time (and injuries elsewhere) permits. So if hes having the surgery tomorrow that'll make 1/27/2017 exactly 8 weeks.

Its a incomprehensible level of pain tolerance. I'm sure they gave him something.
When I did it, it hurt, but I kept going. Thought I just pulled a muscle. Had a couple of scotches and went to bed.
Woke up at 3am and thought I was going to die.
Very sucky news in every way. But the Pats are more prepared for this kind of thing than they ever have been before.
1. Blount has run the ball very well this year and they may need more reliance on the running game.
2. The emergence of White and the return of Lewis. They could run a lot of "pony" formations with both those RBs in the mix, and other teams simply have a hard time dealing with both of them.
3. The fact that the Pats still have Bennett. He's one of the best TEs in football, and while it's always better to have both Gronk and MB, it's still nice to have a pro bowl caliber TE on the field, even if you can't have two of them.
4. Malcolm Mitchell. The Pats have four legit NFL wide receivers that they can throw out there now. They could go completely spread with Lewis in the backfield. Most teams simply don't have the quality of DBs to handle five players like Edelman, Hogan, Mitchell, Amendola, and Lewis.
So does this make things harder? Absolutely. Does this automatically kill the season? No, for the first time in years, I don't think it does.
I wonder if this is football ready or not? Reminds me of the broken arm and Dr Gill rushing him backSo if hes having the surgery tomorrow that'll make 1/27/2017 exactly 8 weeks.

I would prefer Brady sit because a healthy JG is certainly capable of beating the Rams and could be better than a hobbled Brady.well at this point every game matters. HFA
no more crying about if Brady should play this weekend...
Just to enrage some of our resident Dr. Chao haters:
Which kinda lines up with the hope of having him back in no-contact drills around the end of Week 17.
i dont know if team gronk will take the risk. recovering from surgery and recovering to play football are two different things. i wont blame them either.
