Post Game Thread- Pats @ Jets

I don't care about their record, that was a great character building win for the team, the Jets games have playoff like intensity the last few years we played them.

With rumors (aka talkshow ****-talk) that Bill might have lost the defense this year, that could have been an easy game for them to implode, they didn't.

Looking forward to the salt from PatriotstPimp and Jangles after a win from their most hated football team today.

Game thread. Let it float. Life is way too short and valuable.

The great seattle offense just put NINE points against Tampa Bay.

It's about matchups in this league and it seems as if the Bucs matched up pretty well against _this_ Seattle team.

I honestly think that sometimes people underestimate how small the differences between teams in this league really are. Yes, they are some blowouts but in many cases games get decided by 4-5 plays that go one way, or the other.

I am sure you will proclaim this defense to be top 5 after today

Any defense giving up less than 18 ppg is a good defense. Through 11 games, this defense is doing what it must do to give the Patriots a chance to win any game. Next up? The Rams. PPG Allowed will probably drop further. It is what it is.

Van Noy was surprise of the day to me.

He entered like its his shoes besides Hightower .. brought a lot of spark and energy during and especially after the plays before turnovers got everybody hyped. And he brought it to the zebras as well in the right way .. also with some effect I guess.

Still quite a bit of suffering .. but with much better energy and attitude .. that got even BB hugging people around.

Could turn out to be a huge win team building wise.

I would not play gronk next week. I feel like he should have never made the trip. We still need him to produce come january. Bennett's nice but he ain't gronk

Good tough win. I think some have rosie scenario hindsight and think we always looked good every championship year.

We have plenty talent to win and the defense seems to be working hard and playing together. If so, they will improve and the defense will become more complex. Can't run a sophisticated D when some players aren't doing their assignments and giving max effort.

Great Cornholio tribute by Chris Long too and how about Malcolm Mitchell. Missed what would have been a great catch, but hardly easy.

Felger on post game is worried about the NYJ receivers going forward...**** him

This. Reacting to what you see on the field how you feel about the team seems very frowned upon on sport forums. I'm not saying any names nor calling any members here out, but not every post is sunshine and rainbows. As long as you aren't calling people names and keeping it mature, what's the issue?

Forums have always existed for the sake of discussing a neutral interest and having a variety of opinions on the subject.

Agreed. It's all rooted in the desire for Ws.

In terms of game defining moments that Spiller/Van Noy miss reminded me of the SB and how Butler somehow disturbed Kearse on that deep pass from Wilson in the 3rd quarter. Either of those two plays connect and we might be toast. Huge difference in the game.. maybe biggest missed play of the entire game.

That all being said, Van Noy was beat on that route (as every LB would be against a RB like Spiller) but he still managed to be close enough to distract Spiller enough. I wouldn't be surprised if BB points that out when the team reviews the tape.

Some people do have to relax in the gameday thread.. like holy **** the phrase over reactionary doesn't even add up to how bad people are freakin out.
I agree. Enter with caution. I personally like the knee jerk, play by play reactions. I feel like I'm sitting in a sports bar with everybody yelling. I miss that. The emotional ups and downs are trip. I know most posters are reactionary and will calm down when the dust clears. The game thread is not for the weak at heart. I recommend the post game thread. No sense in coming into the game thread, just to say "I never go into the game thread because...." Just MO
