The Future for this defense

I feel like. We need to invest in this defense this coming off season. We need to draft and sign free agents. Our corners are garbage outside of Butler. Coleman, Ryan and Rowe can go. Also we need to find someone to rush the passer. Anyone know of any upcoming free agents worth signing. Also Patrica needs to go and change the date to a pressure based d instead of this soft zone bs.

We draft defense early almost every yeaar. Kind of frustrating this is the product we have produced .

Well, Easley flamed out and we didn't get a first round pick this year. That's the biggest problem right now.

There is a lot wrong. The defensive scheme being one. BC the gm being another. His reaching has for picks that can't produce far outweigh the ones that can. Also his drafting based on his friendships with Saban and meyer.

BB has invested enough. His conservative scheme can't produce an elite defense. It has produced good defenses (2014-2015) and hopefully 2016 if he figures out this unit.

Not necessarily a knock on BB, but if he had the Broncos personnel there wouldn't be 9 men in the box. Talib would be 15 yards back on 2nd and 17. Wade Phillips goes for the kill shot (and gets burned at times).

There has to be a common middle ground between Belichick and Rex Ryan/Wade Phillips philosophies. I hope BB gets a tad more aggressive.

So the past five drafts we have gone defense with our first picks.

Jones Easley and Collins are no longer on the team, Brown has been average, and Jones has been a drama queen.

We also have Hightower which went in the same round as chandler. Hightower is one of the best blitz lbs in the game but we don't utilize him enough in that aspect. He is a liability in coverage. I'd like to see more blitzing but for some reason Patrica is allergic to it.

Realistically, we have at least as good a chance as any other team to win the SB. Who is better? DEN? KC? OAK? SEA? DAL?

Should of just kept Chandler Jones and Jamie Collins one more year, why get rid of them the same upcoming season where on paper was looking to be historic and higher chance than normal to win a lombardi talking clear favorites

All I know is this will be the most eventful offseason we've had in years. A lot of guys to re-sign, with a lot of cap room to boot as well. This defense could look a lot different come next year. Another Revis move? We shall see.

Yea I know our defense will be better next year, I think we should take a Linebacker in the first round

Of the remaining teams on the schedule, baltimore and denver are the ones i'm most worried about. Honestly if we lose either of those we could be playing the afccg in KC, oakland or denver.

I agree with the majority of ppl who say we should of kept Collins and chandler one Moore year. I'd rather lose them after winning a superbowl than the d sucking without their presence and cost us a title

I don't want to look ahead to the off-season at all... but I don't believe there's many notable FAs out there on defense that would be worthy of allocating cap space towards. I hope they can trade Garoppolo and move up to draft Myles Garrett.

Go out there and get a trumaine johnson if he's available. Get a playmaker on defense!
