When the Colts "sucked for Luck" there was this universal feeling of how lucky the Colts were to get Luck to follow Peyton. Don't get me wrong Luck is a solid QB, especially in this league right now. (Though he fails the aesthetics eye test for me, spoiled by Brady of course)

The cool thing I was thinking today though, is we are 5 years in the Luck era, and Brady is still the thorn in everyone's side in the NFL without any desire to quit. I don't like the Colts. I think it would be really cool is they piss away Luck's best years.. all the while Tom Brady and the Pats are still the kings of the AFC. Their fan base could easily be looking at ten years of dealing with Manning/Brady, then they have ten years with Luck and it is still Brady in their face for those ten years as well. I hope it happens that way. Right now the Colts can't get out of their own way.. but even when they are good its still Brady kicking their ass and stopping them.

Haha the Brady part of it is amazing. So many teams must be so sick of it (lookin at you afce teams). Every year I feel like jets fans were saying, " well the division will be back up for grabs in 2 years hen brady is done". here we are six years later lol

As for Indy, I don't have any negative feelings for Luck other than making jokes about him being a bit goofy. But i kinda feel bad for him. I think with proper structure, a competent organization, and an owner that isn't a regular at NA, he really would be great. I love how important coaching is in the NFL and unfortunately for Luck he has had horrible coaching during his development.

Feel bad for him because hes been a top 10 QB this year with a bottom 5 OLine in terms of pass protection

He is having a pretty good season, but the defense is beyond terrible, and everybody is injured.

I would say top 5, or maybe even top 3, after Brady and Matt Ryan. Well, at least considering that joke of an Oline.

I do not feel bad for him. I wish nothing but the worst for Indy. From weirdo owner all the way down to kicker. Who am I trying to kid ? I still love Adam. I wish nothing but the worst from everyone except Adam. Unless he is kicking vs NE. Back to the original. Indy can burn.

Remember when everyone picked the colts to go to the superbowl last year? And then the GM had the audacity to blame Lucks contract for why they aren't good. I wonder if colts fans accept how much of a dumpster fire their organization is

Suck For Luck begat Suck Is Luck begat Suck With Luck.

I would throw Vinatieri onto that steaming pile of Indy too.

Here's my theory: The Mannings and the Lucks got together with the "braintrust" in Indy and manipulated the process to get Andrew on the team to take over for PEDton.

Luck should have refused to sign a new deal. He would have been able to pick the best possible situation for him. Instead, he resigns with a terrible organization.

I'm sure they're still blaming it on PSI.

Suck for Luck.
Colts can't win, so they throw muck.
Andrew Luck: "****. This team sucks."
Now Luck sucks.
Suck with Luck.
Suck, Colts, Suck.
Colts outta luck, and I'm all outta ****s.

they remind me of the falcons.

falcons got to the nfl title game and lost..thought they were a few pieces away, signed an old Rb steven jackson, failed to build a strong defense and collapsed. 2016, atlanta's defense still sucks and matt ryan has to throw for 300-400 yards in order for that team to be competitive. same with indy...they signed a bunch of old players after they reached the title game/have failed miserably.

I imagine Luck wouldn't mind a change of scenery. He'll always be in Manning's shadow as a Colt. It would take a decade or more of great play to break all his franchise records but the Colts haven't been able to put a competent team on the field.

Luck will never get traded and his long contract means he will be with the Colts for the foreseeable future. But if Luck was in a contract year and he was experiencing this type of fortune I think Luck would definitely have considered his options to look for a different team.

Andrew Luck is this generations Brett Favre. No matter how many ridiculously risky deep bombs he throws incomplete or to the opposing team, no matter how poor his ball security is, no matter how pedestrian the offense is due to him doing his best Kevin Costner in Tin Cup impression, the media will always crow about him being elite because they all shot their collective load all over his gunslinging face coming out of college and they can't bear to be so wrong. He's not elite. He's barely good. He repeats the same mistakes week after week and never learns.

I look forward to his multiple retirement announcements...

They are only going to get worse. Look at what happened to the Ravens. It doesn't work pay 120+ Mi for a QB unless he is a top 3 QB, not a guy who got hot in the right time or some QB with draft pedigree.

Needs to nail 2 following drafts to have a shot building a team on the cheap around the QB.

Who is Luck?
Is he an QB in the NFL? Never heard of him ;)

Luck had his chance. He could have played out this season, been franchised for 2017, franchised again in 2018, and pulled home $50M for those two seasons (and upwards of $65M including 2016). The only way that wouldn't happen is with a life-threatening injury. Even a regular bad injury (torn ACL, etc.) would still get him franchised. Maybe his kidney issue last year made him concerned about a life-threatening injury?

Regardless of the reasons, I now say to Luck:
