Frank Gore on Colts' losing ways: 'I didn't come here for this'

Veteran running back Frank Gore joined the Colts before the 2015 season, hoping to reach the postseason as Indianapolis had done each of the three years prior. That hasn’t happened yet, and he’s in danger of missing out on the postseason yet again in 2016.

"I didn't come here for this," Gore said, via IndyStar. "I came here to get into the tournament."

Could have signed with the Eagles, probably would have been a better fit than Murray last year. Now he's in last place in the division.

Last place? And in the worst division in pro football. 7-9 or 8-8 is good enough for a home play off game in the AFC south.
Texans will probably get 9 wins. But regardless will get blown out in round one again.

Part of me feels bad for Gore, the guy deserves a ring. But it's his fault for not reading the tea leaves when signing there.

He initially signed with Philly last year before the deal fell out. Should've just landed there, that way he could at least be on a decent team.

I don't. The Colts OL was in shambles and the defence, for years, has been atrocious. The one saving grace is for the better part of a decade or so, the AFC South has been a pathetic division and inflated the perceived value of the Colts.

Me neither. He went to the Colts because they offered more money than Philly. Its entirely possible other winning teams wanted him but he didnt want to take a haircut. Oh well.

He should have learned from Andre Johnson's example...

but but but they have andrew luck!!

wait, hes an overrated turnover machine!!

I thought Gore wanted to do a "from the U" reunion with Andre Johnson and since Pagano coached them at "the U" too?

I don't know. I have the impression that he chose Indy over Philly not because of a few Bucks ~ Philly reportedly had a pretty sweet Offer on the table, as well ~ but because Coach Kelly's turbulent personnel moves and the consequent state of transition in Philly scared the Hell out'f'm.

Gore's a little too public with his thoughts for my taste ~ Coach Bill the Mad (Genius) and I see pretty much eye to eye in that regard ~ but he's been a phenomenal FootBall Player: A PowerBack with tremendous Agility, an excellent Receiver, and an awesome Blocker. And tough as Nails.

Mind you: I thought the Colts were foolish to drop $4,000,000 a Year on an HalfBack who was going to be 32 before he ever played a Down for'm...but he's been holding up all right. So far.

The Colts still haven't learned that Championships are won in the Trenches.

And for that, I am grateful.

If you want to play for a contender don't go to the ****ing Colts. If You're Matt Forte and you want to go to a contender, don't go to the ****ing Jets.

If these guys simply care more about getting the biggest paycheck they can than winning, then I have no problem with that. Their careers are short, I don't blame them one bit. But anyone who goes to the Jets or Colts looking to win is just dumb, plain and simple.

I still chuckle at the narrative the media tried very hard to push last year of the contending Colts after they signed Johnson and Gore.

Going to Indy was a bad idea?

Who would have ever thunk it?

In his defense, we have no idea what kind of haircuts these other teams were offering. What if he ended up looking like this guy?
