Have they seen Ron Rivera press conferences lately? I think he just walked out of one today!

Testy Belichick on QB uncertainty: 'Not a doctor'

So BB is being testy because he says he's not a doctor and doesn't want to give the media the gameplan. Are they stupid.

The headline should be media member asks extremely dumb follow up question.

"The medical staff is the medical staff. I coach the team; the medical people handle the injuries. They don't call plays. I don't do surgeries. We have a great deal there. It works out good."

Buahahaha

These guys never learn.

who will be more testy when their network keeps losing viewers...

I see nothing wrong with the minor Mike Reiss article you're calling out.

He reported the facts, and accurately relayed BB's stated opinion.

....and he was testy.

When it comes to questions about the QB position, BB does tend to get a little annoyed.

Then they pi$$ed off the team physician with questions...

It's the classic "go ask your mother..... go ask your father" routine.

How about the fact that this is not out of the norm for Belichick, yet it is presented as if it is.. Belichick has never given answers about injured players during his tenure as a Patriots coach. What would make any of them think that it would change now?

He should have just started going into Marshawn Lynch mode.

"I'm just here so I don't get fined"

Not only would it have been funny, it might have gotten some interest from Lynch, should he decide he misses the game :).

That was nothing compared to the exchange between BB and Forges back in 2001 when BB named TB12 the starter for the remainder of the season.

IIRC correctly, Borges was giving BB crap for not letting Drew earn his job back. BB said something like , "I'm making the best decisions for the team T-E-A-M and if you want to be belligerent about it I'm not sure I can help you.".

from what I heard, it sounded like the reporter was asking BB if he consulted with the medical people (on how they could get Jimmy ready to play). This would have been a huge mistake if BB would have said that he had any input as to the medical decisions. It was smart of BB to avoid even coming close to answering those questions. My only problem is he didn't start his "I'm a football coach, not a doctor" line with the obligatory: Dam it Jim!

He has used the line, 'I'm not a doctor" several times before. This is not new.

Stop giving a **** about anything ESPN says. I doubt anyone who read that headline would have expected him to answer any differently. His response was snarky but that's just how he is.
