We haven't voted him in the Pats hall yet did we?
Might have two less rings without him...think you gotta make an exception.No. I think the issue with his candidacy is that he was elite for two years and due to injury and age was good to average for the remaining 3 or 4 years here.
But 03-04....my god.

**** Jeff Fisher. Bruschi sounded like he wanted to knock him right out. Peyton owes Jeff Fisher one big time...If he was voted in I would not strongly object to it.
...and yes if they had him in 05 and 06 they do win one of those SBs as Eric Alexander would not have been in coverage.
Not yet, but he cannot be too far behind. I hear Rob's point, but I think Rodney has to be considered at some point. The man made too many big plays not to be, IMO.We haven't voted him in the Pats hall yet did we?
Agree and disagree at the same time. Alexander is moot if Reche makes that catch in '06. Though I agree he should have never been in coverage. But the AC was mysteriously off in the RCA dome and half our D was taking in IV's. But there was no misconduct there by the opposing organization. Weird things only happen in Foxboro. If he was voted in I would not strongly object to it.

Refs cheated us, should have been first and goal at the one instead of Gost field goal.Agree and disagree at the same time. Alexander is moot if Reche makes that catch in '06. There were so many things wrong with that game. What about Hobbs' PI in the end zone on Wayne, which was a call that the league admitted to getting wrong and for which they apologized in writing? That was a free seven points.Refs cheated us, should have been first and goal at the one instead of Gost field goal.
Anyone who takes up public speaking is at some point going to say something stupid. Occasionally, a real bright person will take or make the opportunity to retract or apologize for it. In today's media, it's mostly how people speak and present themselves, rather than what they're in fact saying. The nonsense he talked about Brady early in Defamegate. I don't remember the quote exactly, but it was disparaging. You shouldn't do that to a guy who helped you win two SB's and one who had your ass up in another SB that your D could not close out. Either keep your mouth shut or show some support.
I hear you, except public apologies have become among the most disingenuous things in current culture. How many times did Manziel do it (just the first name to come to mind)? How many other celebrities/public figures have we seen say dumb sh*t and then apologize a day later and, guess what, end up right back in the spotlight for some dumb sh*t that they no doubt pledged never do to or say again in said apology? It's a carousel of stupidity and triteness.Anyone who takes up public speaking is at some point going to say something stupid. I was a huge Rodney fan for years, and could not believe it when we got him. Same for Corey Dillon the next year.If he was voted in I would not strongly object to it.

I was not referring to a fake, staged, ghost-written, forced, press conference (meaningless) 'apology'I hear you, except public apologies have become among the most disingenuous things in current culture. Gotcha, APF.I was not referring to a fake, staged, ghost-written, forced, press conference (meaningless) 'apology'
Rodney was exceptional on and off the field. He belongs in Pats' HOF, but more so do Julius Adams, Grogan, Francis, and Stingley. Not yet, but he cannot be too far behind. I hear Rob's point, but I think Rodney has to be considered at some point. The man made too many big plays not to be, IMO.
Give it a while. It will be on Youtube.Ugh. Loved Rodney when he was here pretty much WAS the patriot way. I might have to break my ban on NFL network to watch that. A football life is such a great show, wish there were more like it. I miss the classic football channel for learning about the history of the game but this is the next best thing
