Agree with most. Had he a speech writer, he could have been more politically savvy in mentioning that it is a disappointment for him, fans and the team. But frankly, he's getting his chance with live ammo and this could possibly define his career going forward. He should be excited to play.

Yeah, Brady's attitude was once I get this job I'm not giving it up. Jimmy G should be excited at the chance and Brady understands. It is one of the reasons Brady hated giving up - he knows there is always a chance - however slight in this case - you might not get it back.

My personal opinion on the backup QB position: any backup QB who doesn't harbor aspirations of starting shouldn't be the backup here.
