Mike Lowell still hot, and Manny really turning it on now

Everybody was predicting that as always Mike Lowell would lose steam in the second half, but so far he is doing just the opposite. Also it seems that Papi getting injured really got Manny hitting. Any one have any thoughts on this.

I know Varitek is the Sox captain and all, but when i look at the team i see Manny as the leader. Thats what a leader does he will turn it up when needed most and he's doing that. With other players like Lugo, Pena, and Crisp turning it up only helps.

Everyone is aware that Manny has been hitting around .330 since the start of May, right? With an OPS around .950?

Manny has been hitting very well this season after a terrible April. His BA and OBP since the start of May have actually been better than his career line, and his SLG isn't that far off from it. Just becasue he doesn't have 25+ HR right now doesn't mean hes been having anything short of a very good season. Homeruns aren't the only indicator of success.
