It's not yet the start of exhibition season, but the wild overrating of Logan Ryan has begun. Yes, football is back.

He looked like a legit starter for a full season last year, but let's not forget a lot of us thought he would be cut or no higher than 5th on the depth chart a year ago. Now we're assuming he's a valuable trade chip...

Somehow the board always thinks every player on this team is worth some kind of ridiculous compensation. I wonder if other fanbases do the same thing. lol

I just said the regular roster.. I said nothing about the game roster.. And Belichick has been in favor of doing away with benching healthy players.

I think you need to reread that post, since the only time I even mentioned the 46 game day roster was in completely different post.

I don't know what is meant by "in favor of doing away with benching healthy players", but when BB was explicitly asked if he wanted the 53 man roster, he went off about how 53 was more than enough.

Really excited about this season. A lot of talent on this team. The one area of concern I would have would be the O-line. Really curious to see how they play during the preseason.

I'm very curious about Geneo Grissom. I'd really like to see what he can do in year 2. I think he has special teams value which gives him a leg up on the other pass rushers.

Great play by Roberts! Love how aggressive he is in run support for a corner. Although J. Jones seems to have the leg up right now, I hope we find room for Roberts. He's a tall, aggressive player with fantastic measurables and pretty good tape coming out of college. Could be a keeper.

C'mon DI. Are you so desperate to keep your anti-fan boy reputation alive that you are willing to deny the good season Ryan had last season? Are you going to come before us and say that he WASN'T one of the better #2 CB's in the league last season?

The fact is that NONE of us are "overrating" Ryan. We are just commenting on how some people are vastly underrating his value to the team for this season. He is what he is, and that is a very dependable solid #2 CB. He might very well be the odd man out NEXT season when the Pats are forced to pay so many so much, but that doesn't change the fact that last season he WAS one of the dependable #2 CB's in the league. And we have no reason to doubt that he won't be the same this coming season.
