ESPN's Adam Schefter reports free agent Arian Foster will work out for the Dolphins on Monday, followed by the Lions "later this week."

Didn't this guy used to be a hall of famer? I mean he used to be really good only 2 years ago. What happened to him?

I know he might not even have anything left, but I really hope he doesn't go to Miami. I like how their only option they have right now is a guy who resembles a third down back in Ajayi... Ayaji... Ajayjay...

However the Hell you pronounce his last name.

I'm interested to see how he would perform during a workout.

If hes 80-90% of his prime they need to sign him.

That is better than Blount.

With that said I doubt he is. An achilles tear for a RB is rough.

But wait . . . I thought he was just spotted in the Gillette parking lot.

I'd like to see him in a Pats uniform (assuming there's gas left), but I don't know how likely that would be. I think he'd be the final piece to a SB puzzle, though I also believe we can do just fine without him as well.

Yea. What Foster gives you is (if healthy) the same runner as Blount but a much better receiving threat out of the backfield which makes defenses a little more to worry about.

Yup. I also feel he gives you a bit more explosiveness and home run ability than Blount in the run game. I like Blount for what he is and he seems to respond very well to the coaching in NE, which is something I don't overlook because of his history for being a bit tough to deal with for other teams. But I just don't have much confidence anymore in him in most situations. It just takes him a while to get going on a play and in the game overall. I'd like to see more explosiveness from a bigger back. We can't always depend on Lewis because, as exciting as he is, he's just not someone you want to keep feeding the ball to between the tackles. That's the one area where I would give Faulk and Woody a slight advantage over Lewis.

Fins sign foster

Damn. I wanted him. I expected us to draft a RB who could carry the mail on 3 downs and short yardage situations. When we didn't, I hoped we would sign one of the top big UDFA RBs. Now we are left waiting by the discard pile. Not hopeless, but hardly reassuring. I still find it difficult to believe we will go in with Blount and Lewis coming off injuries as our top two RBs.

Hopefully BB can trade for one of the 220 lb + RB's in KC.

However Charles would be a fine addition.

I think Knile Davis is one of the only targets I'd know of at the moment that we could obtain at some point through trade.

Reid is hoarding talented RBs in KC. I hope BB can get Reid to do him a solid sometime soon.

I'll take Jamal Charles for a second or Kniles Davis for a 5th

And that's that. It was a fun thought anyway.

I feel like I am the only one who like our duo of Lewis and Blount.

Lewis was so dynamic last year. Such a perfect fit to this offense. And Blount is a good compliment to Lewis'style and a good second half closer.

There are obvious injury concerns but I think White and Donald Brown should offer some depth.

If we lose them both again we are probably screwed but I think that is true of most positions on most teams. Losing your top two guys anywhere will be a tough thing to overcome.

We also have Foster who could beat out White.

As much work as Bolden puts in on STs I hope Brown and White/Foster beat him out because we need the depth more at RB and hopefully the STs can be found elsewhere.

get marshawn lynch beast mode!! love that guy!

The position could've/should've been addressed on some level for sure, but in BB we trust. Fingers crossed.

I love it when teams in the division get older and slower. Foster's real contribution could come as a pass catcher out of the backfield in Gase's offense.

$400k guaranteed is not a bad deal for the Dolphins to see if he's got anything left in the tank, I guess.

Looking at the Dolphins roster overall, that's a well-constructed football team on both sides of the ball. If the rookie OG Tunsil can step right in, Tannehill should have a great year. He should take the next step as a top 10 QB. The Dolphins are clearly the main competition in the AFC East at this point.
