i guess loading up WR position gets a new perspective now

EDIT: dont get me wrong, I firmly believe Edelman is getting back full strength (or at least close to it) - but it is reassuring that he can do it in his own time and share the load when he does

Not really. WR has been a need for a couple of years. Guys they like and think will fit the system became available. The team's depth at that position was exposed in 2013 and 2015. They got lucky in 2014 with injuries. I don't think "loading up" there was due to Edelman. As I said in the other thread, I thought it was pretty much common knowledge that Edelman was going to need a follow up procedure.

I don't think Dobson is a good example.. He was ready to go Week 1 of 2014. His problem is he clearly has some kind of mental block.
