If this is Elway playing tricks, then well played.

His shoulder must be pretty bad.

I don't care if he plays or doesn't play. It will be Maclin all over again. Either he plays and is good for maybe 10 minutes or he sits. Same thing in the end.

I think you can under understimate how big this injury hurts Denver and is one of the things not being talked about enough.

Losing him (or him being as hurt as he is) forces them to play zone.

gronk should make him sit early

I'd motion his WR assignment towards the offensive line and then sweep SJax right at him to see how he reacts. We would find out very quickly if he can still tackle.

Unlike Maclin, Harris has been a full participant in practice.

I think he's fine, and this is just Denver's way of trying to f&ck with us. Won't work though, because if they put Harris on Edelman, the joke is on them.

Either that or it forces him to go man to man on either Edelman or Amendola, a match-up which he'll definitely lose... especially with an injured shoulder. That said, I agree. He'll go.

He was clearly playing with one arm against Pittsburgh. I don't know if him playing is going to mean much.

But full participation in practice. Either Elway is lying now or the Broncos were less than up front on the injury report.

While he is an excellent player, I'm really not sure how much they lose with Harris out. He blew out his knee in the 2013 playoffs and they did fine without him. Vs the Pats he historically really hasn't done much.

JE has killed the Broncos. I expected that with Harris at full strength anyway.

No he hasn't. Zero chance he's been a full participant. That's the Broncos thumbing their nose at the injury report.

What's interesting is you've got two teams that are both playing games with the injury report, but in different ways.

Broncos: No one's hurt, everyone was a full participant (which is extremely unlikely)

Patriots: Everyone's hurt, everyone is limited in practice, everyone is Questionable to play.

Two different approaches, same result: No one has a real good grasp on who's playing, who's hurt, and who's playing hurt.

I am shocked that Chris Harris didn't tell the media himself.

So in other non-gamesmanship words, he's playing, but will probably be at 50% and ineffective.

Cool.

False. The Pats have all guys who have been nursing injuries that have cost them actual games or practices. Or parts of games. There is zero chance that every injured Bronco was a full participant. Big difference there and a much more glaring discrepancy. The Broncos should be fined at the very least.

If he plays you run sweeps at him or WR screens at him. You'll find out early what he's capable of.

Perhaps, but "Questionable" is supposed to mean a 50/50 chance of playing. You don't think more than 50% of the people the Patriots have "limited" in practice are going to play? For all I know, if Edelman has to sit down for ONE rep in practice, maybe he can be legally listed as limited. The games go both ways.

It's about appearances. Questionable is believable when you have known injured players. It may not be quite truthful but that's gamesmanship. To flat out lie on an injury report is a penalty. Quite the opposite.

The alternative is "probable," which is defined as "virtually certain will be available for normal duty." There are a ton of guys who have suited up but clearly aren't ready for "normal duty." For example, if they decide that Edelman can't return punts effectively anymore because of the injury, then he's not ready for "normal duty" and by definition isn't probable.
