They just said on 98.5 that he has bruised ribs too. Why the hell did they even play him yesterday? They clearly were playing not to get injured and Brady is more injured after that game than he has been all season.

Nope. They shouldn't have played him, Gronk, Amendola, Collins, Nink/Sheard, McCourty, or Butler at all.

They were also clearly playing not to win either but just to work on some stuff. After watching that game I wonder if the results of the resting some starters poll would have changed knowing this was how the coaching staff viewed the game.

A good example of what happens when you half ass something. Either rest the key players or go all out.

that doesn't really work.......if you are concerned, you play the starters and just call low risk plays........the pats were doing ok while the first 20 or so touches were only to RB's.....they could have kept that up all day

Except that Brady sprained his ankle on one of the first 20 plays when they were playing conservatively and mostly running the ball. Who knows when he bruised his ribs.

Yup it's pretty much laughable how much of a **** show yesterday was.

First half ---> "Let's play not to get hurt". They play Brady & Gronk

Second half ---> "Wait now we want to win". Get Brady destroyed time, barely bothering to disguise their play callings and time again en route to an embarrassing loss.

Now Brady is injured going into the playoffs and potentially not be 100% in the divisional. Way to go.

The Ribs where probably from when Vernor hit him right in the ribs from behind

38. I know the man makes it look easy, but he's 38. Now is not the time to be having a line in flux. It's hard to make out if it's a talent issue, coaching issue or as simple as the injuries. But this unit is not pulling it together like last year's group. They seem to get a little worse every week. Brady is getting hit on almost every drop back. That can't be allowed to continue. But alas, this has been all season long. Maybe Edelman and a rested Amendola change that. James White has earned more touches and Jackson looks like he'll give the team some hard running to maybe milk clock in the playoffs. Let's see what happens.

Brady's a warrior but this ol needs to get the job done. Game's won in the trenches.

Yesterday was pretty much a complete failure in that we didn't win the game or keep our best player healthy.

Belichick has made some head scratching decisions over the past month or so
He's playing the BB Mind Meld. Screwing with other teams. Luring them in to a false sense of security when they face NE. 1/16 at 4:35 p.m., he'll unleash the beast. Or so I hope...

What were they trying to work out? How to execute 6 straight three-and-outs? How to scheme a running play where the RB runs straight into four defenders?

understood, but what doesn't work is putting garoppolo out there throwing passes to guys and having them be different enough where the targets start to get hurt.......that happens

the biggest issue I see has been the inability for brady to execute with his 2 second dropbacks and I get why that has not been happening, but the countless long ball attempts yesterday were pretty mind boggling

not sure how dropping back and going 0-fer on the longball is a mind meld

He sure did, I hope his quota is over for this season. Better take some crap decisions in regular season than in the tournament.
