I'm a little tired of the "Positive Pattys" myself. The team played like total 5h!t. Why can't anyone say that?. Does that mean they won't play better? Does that mean they will win the SB. No. it means they played like dog 5hit today. Get your head out of the sand. It's ok to say they played like 5h!t. Drop the koolaid and step away from the computer. They are still in it, but they lost HFA. That's a fact.

Personally I don't see the need to say they played like **** and I don't feel the need to get aggravated by it.
If complaining or saying they sucked today would help then I am all in ... but I know it doesn't help at all.

Can I borrow your time machine since you know the outcome of the Denver/SD game?

I'm done for the night, keep fighting the negative fight...

I'm happy to be in the playoffs. Two weeks to prepare? Great!
History shows its not often for a team to repeat the next year after winning a super bowl, many teams don't make it to the playoffs. This year the pats have won the super bowl despite the commissioner and the league office doing everything the could to derail the team. Then do everything they could during the current season to stop the patriots. Despite that the pats are in the playoffs with a bye and possibaly the #1 seed. That is pretty remarkable in itself. I know i'm spoiled, but not nearly as spoiled as a lot of the posters on here are.

So much butt hurt in this thread its off the charts. Some of you want to jump off the bridge before we even play a playoff game, have fun with that.

The handwriting is on the wall.

You want to be playing your best football heading into the playoffs. Not your worst.

But they did play like 5h!t. Do you think they played well? I don't understand the "we only discuss the positives". The Pats aren't flawless. There are problem that need to b addressed. You have to admit that., No? ..... And believe me, I'm not giving up on the season, but if these problems aren't corrected, it's a long shot. If any team can do it, its the Pats.

Who knew that Bagdad Bob was a Pats fan.

Everything is fine. Go back and prepare for the Super Bowl party.

We are so lucky. Our team and coach are so good that some fans think they are comic book super heroes who always win because of their super powers regardless of injuries, inspired play by other teams or whatever.

Teams with injuries get tired and more likely to be injured. Brady's been struggling to throw fifty yard passes trying to pull games out because injuries to Edelman, Amendola and Gronkowski have destroyed the offensive rhythm. The same people wanted him to pass every play ***** because he twisted his ankle.

They're trying to work a power running game and their coaches and Brady are trying to get back rhythm with healthier players in a couple weeks. I think they'll be fine, because they are really good and need the rest.

But Brady is human. He is not Superman.

The offensive line is going to land Brady in the hospital. They just aren't jelling like normal.

Injuries have a lot to do with that of course.

So what? They lost one game. Get over it. Teams lose games every day.

I think the best answer I can give you is some people don't dwell on the negatives in life ...
I am one of those people ... I complain when it's helpful ... otherwise it's a waste of time.
They lost ... whatever ... these last 15 years have been a joy ... I can look past the losses very easily.
If they win again this year ... unreal ... if they don't ... they owe me nothing ... they have given much.

BB has done a masterful job to make it this far, but injuries have finally caught up the Pats.

So what? They lost one game. Get over it. Teams lose games every day.

They didn't lose one game. They lost 4 games in 6 weeks, any of which would have clinched home field. If we beat the Eagles we could have rested the last two weeks instead of getting hurt and losing anyway.

Goes hand in hand. They have good linemen, as good as last year [except Solder]. They are built to protect a QB who gets rid of the ball under two seconds and that just isn't possible now. that's the challenge of the bye week.

So what? did they miss the playoffs or something? I heard a rumor that, despite a ridiculous amount of injuries, they earned a bye.

Take a deep breath and enjoy a beverage. It's taxing on the system to time travel back and change the outcome of games.

Get over it? I never was under it. I'm not crying. I'm just fine. They played like ****. Drop the koolaid and step away from the computer. It's ok to say they played like ****. Try it. It might help you . BTW, they lost 4 games. Just sayin.

Yep...it's halftime...could go either way...

I meant winning enough playoff games to make it. Not close to guaranteed. I'd pick them to lose in the first round, if I was a gambler.

I disagree with the O line being as good as last year. NE doesn't run the ball as good as last season and that is a big problem.

Even at full strength, the formula to stop Brady is drop 8 and rush 3 forcing Brady to hang onto the ball.

First, this season has already been a success for me. We had to hear about competitive advantage from some BS ball deflating scheme and heard that's why Brady was Brady. Brady came out a lit the league on fire for the first 7 or 8 games and has had one of his best seasons despite all the injuries and O line issues.

Second, I know what I saw in the beginning of the season and know what this team is capable of when healthy. It looks like they might be able to get most of their key players back in time for the divisional game. I think they have a good shot at getting back to the Super Bowl.

We'll see.

I think the Pats have played to stay and get healthy for the playoffs. Has BB made some mistakes? Sure but how much of a mistake is it when the team is guaranteed a first round bye despite all those injuries?
