Couple positives:

-Martin has performed the best he can during the stretch without Edelman. I think he's earned the WR3 spot for the playoffs across Edelman and Amendola.

-I thought Jackson looked good. He'll be helpful vs. a non-Jets/Denver front.

Cincy would still be the #2 seed going into Week 17 even if they beat Denver tomorrow.
Oh, good point. NE and CIN would both be 12-3 and also tied in AFC, but NE has common-opponents tiebreaker.
But of course, what seed teams are in after this week is meaningless, because the season does not "end today".

The hell were you watching? This team was beating the opposition with authority when they were healthy. I do agree about the OL though. They've been exposed since Edelman went down.

Did you see the jests game at home? It wasn't smooth sailing

The Jets are amongst the league leaders in QB pressures and hits.. Just not sacks.. this was mentioned during the game..

I don't consider the Jets starting offense and defense beating up on the Pats 4th/5th string OTs, 3 rookie O-line and a Rookie Safety to be "outplaying" the Patriots..

They ate what was on their plate. The Jets outplayed what the Pats put on the field today. If the Pats put the whole package out there of course they are going to wax the competition.

Have you seen the games when they are healthy? Not exactly blowouts. This offensive line's a mess now. I want no part of the jets in the playoffs because they can play defense and a division rival.

The Pats could be facing a pee-wee team and you would be worried about it. Do you ever post anything here that isn't negative, pessimistic, etc?

No excuses for losing. The Jets can only beat who we put on the field and they did. Our offense put up 13 points and our defense allowed 26. It's hard to win on the road and in the division. We get to try again next week.

Win next week and nobody cares about today's loss.

Of course not. It's a division rival playing for their lives with our two starting safeties and #1 and 2 WR's out. Why did you think it would be?

While we were banged up, they were banged up in October.. Pryor getting injured opened up Gronk last time..

Looking at BBs reaction I don't get the sense they cared.. Maybe he was trying to embarrass the jets by having his defense stop em and come back to win..

Maybe he prefers to play the Jets over Pitt or Denver in the post season..

Peculiar..

Can't wait!
Bart Scott? Holy...man you aren't nearly as douchey on the internet as you are in person. That's like backwards from the normal person.

Slater needs to learn the rule, then. You can't both say you're going to kick off and pick the direction.

Blakeman should have asked for Clarification since Slater said both in the same sentence.. That's on BLAKEMAN, not Slater.

I hope everybody plays next week if they can and thst incluyes edelman if he can go. You just can't turn it off and on in the playoffs. Injuries have fckd this team. Edelman needs those reps before the playoffs

Dude i am pointing the obvious. My preference. We would be favorites but it wouldn't be a cakewalk like everyone thinks here. Jests' re like a poor man's ravens team. They match up well with us

- Not a fan of the Pats choosing to kick. I get it. Probally should have just went for 2 on the last TD. On the bright side, no one O got hurt in OT, so that is cool.

- Losing Seabass is the worst thing about this game.

- Liked how the O gritted it out at the end. Really like the way Kmart is coming along.

- The D played well all things considered.

-Sucks losing to the Jets but whatever, just hope we can get through next week with no injuries.

No. Slater clearly said they wanted to kick off.. I think he was concentrating too much on direction, and didn't know the rule..

Once you verbally proclaim your intent there is no givebacksees..

The game was totally weird. I have several questions and need answers.

1. WTF was up with using valuable timeouts at the end of the 4th quarter when the Jets were about to punt?
2. Why was there no punt returner and why were we trying to block, it rarely works when the blockers already know it.
3. With a good punt return and at least one timeout left we could have atleast tried to get a 50 yard FG with the best kicker in the game.

Belichick is no doubt the best coach in the game but he is a human like everyone and makes mistakes often. I believe his weird decisions sometimes cost us few games. The problem is he always says "That's the best for the team", when there are clearly better options.

Oh, you really shouldn't be so excited. Your team would lose.

======================================

Maybe, maybe not, you just never know till they play the game. That's what makes this all so fun.
