Has anyone watched Mariota a lot this year?

Stats don't tell the story. I live in Oregon and watched almost every game. He had a lot of wide open receivers. He missed the hard throws more than I would have liked.
I figured you were saying it for a reason. Stats aren't always the whole story. I just recall his "scouting reports" saying he was an accurate passer so I looked it up.

I am sorry, but you're wrong. I literally watched every game Marcus played, at least 2 times while he was at Oregon. Dude was ridiculously accurate in college. ****, I even went to the stanford game last year to watch Marcus live. Your talking out your ass right now.

Sorry, I call BS on your post.

I get you only watch youtube highlights of Marcus. But you miss passes like these,

Which happened all the time on 3rd and short/long, 4th and long and just pretty much all the time. All those wide open passes you see on ESPN was b/c Marcus could do the above.

But hey, you want to get into a argument about Marcus and his accuracy in College, if so, I am your huckleberry

The fact this thread has gotten as long as it has tells me the kid is pretty good. To my eye, he's less mobile than Wilson or Tyrod Taylor but has a better arm and makes decisions quicker. For my money, I'll take a guy that can throw over a guy that can run and throw every time.

Ugh, this is awful. Tyrod has a better deep ball then Marcus and Russ too. I get b/c a QB can run they might be similar, but their not. SMFH..

What is sad, Marcus is going to look awful Sunday. And you dudes who say F ESPN Narratives will still follow it. Just like this thread has.

The only full game I've watched of Mariota was the first game. I just had to go back and watch that game, as it looked at the time like we were witnessing a star being born. He reminded me of a more athletic Brady in that game. I was in awe. Then he came back down to earth, and I quit following him so closely, and have only caught a few possessions here and there. From the few snaps I've seen outside of the first game, he started to remind me of RG3 a little bit, and not in a good way. It seems like he just doesn't know how to protect himself, doesn't know when to quit, risking his body/health/the team's future in the process, and on top of that seemed real loose with the ball when under pressure, i. e. waving the ball around perilously in one hand looking to throw it even while being dragged down by pass rushers. While watching, I'm talking to the TV screen, "Just eat the ball! Live to play another down. Also, don't risk giving it away like that." Maybe that was just rookie growing pains, maybe he's improved on that, but I don't know, as I haven't watched him enough.

This is a pretty awful post all around. I will just single out the bolded.

Your right, Marcus got hurt so like RG3. He just does not know how to protect himself from hit like these..

Just compare Oregons O to Baylors O, say spread QB, and make the cypher complete bruh..

This should be a blow out. I just hope Marcus puts up some stats in garbage time. Which should be the second half. lol

Huh? Why?

That division is a disaster this year, but in the next few upcoming years I see it becoming very strong.

With Luck, Mariotta and Bortles they have 3 of the best young QB's. Houston has a decent team, but there a good up and coming signal caller away from being competative. Unfortunately for them they keep finishing around the .500 mark and are tight to the cap with commitments. Can't build a winner unles you start with a field general (majority of the time).

What's the story on the Titans DL? Any threats there for Brady?

I'm not going to get in a pissing match about it. I appreciate your passion for the Ducks which is my favorite college team. He was the best QB ever at Oregon including Dan Fouts.
