Definitely OT, but I was so happy when she knocked Rousey out. Rousey was beginning to become a media and marketing whore (to the constantly offended crowd: please don't infer that as being misogynistic... I've used that term to describe male athletes before too). I was happy someone knocked some sense into her.

I agree that they have definitely brought in worse people but Kraft boxed them in with his comments, and we all know how important how he is perceived is to him. I'm guessing Belichick would at least want the option to check him out and it's not sitting well with him that Kraft has put him in a position where it really isn't an option.
As far as Rice goes my real problem with him is that I don't believe that was a one time occurrence. When it first happened I was surprised because my understanding was that he was a good guy and I thought it may have been a one time major f.ck up, The video footage convinced me otherwise. Had it been a one time thing his reaction would have been completely different and he would have shown shock and concern at what he did and the damage he had done, instead he acted like she was a side of beef and probably would have been happy if someone handed him a chainsaw to cut her up, package her neatly, and get her the f.ck out of there.

The problem with Jonas Gray is that he sucks, not that he's out of shape.

He had one good game against a putrid run defense vs. Indy. Blount went for 150 vs. Indy in the playoffs. It's not like he gashed up the Seahawks run D.

As bad as it was, I think it's wrong to black ball the guy for it. That assumes he's making an effort to change, get therapy, etc. Everyone makes mistakes, if we were all defined by mistakes we made earlier in life we'd probably all be in a world of hurt.

these two interactions with chung made me think that there was some bad blood with gray. at most i've seen friendly jawing with former teammates, but this seemed like something more.

after gray drops a pass, chung tries to get into his face but gray pushes him away and ignores him:

chung tackles him for a short gain and then starts taunting him. collins has some words as well while pushing chung away. gray undoes his chinstrap in frustration:

it could have just been emotions rising during the heat of the game, but it felt like more than that to me.
