Got some good mileage out of Casillas and Ayers last year. The rejuvenated Branch was picked off the couch mid season last year and Keshawn Martin looks like a keeper this year.
Maybe they aren't all late season, but you can't tell me his diligent effort working out players every week hasn't paid off.
I think what people are missing is, you don't need an all pro or a success on other teams. The whole idea IMO, is BB has a book on players that aren't used right or given a chance to shine in a certain role.
Who cares what their stats are, a play here or there, or filling a role so you're not totally vulnerable, allows the stars to win games.
I wonder how many players in recent years, picked up, or traded for little, from mid season on have filled in, I just mentioned a few. Siliga and Hicks are two more. That's 3 in a line rotation picked up after rosters were set. Being a good fit is better than being a superstar when there's less than a half a season left.
Thoughts?
Talib too! Leonard Johnson? Seems like he's hungry.
It's amazing when you think about it.
