Chad Johnson Easily beats Horse in race!

and for their size they are fast!

I could have won with that head start...

Ocho Cinco is the biggest attention whore this side of Zakk Wylde and Pay-me-a-ton Whining...

From what I understand the horse had to cover 200M and Chad Johnson had to cover 100M. Considering that the horse has 4 legs and Chad Johnson only has 2 legs, it seems pretty fair mathematically speaking. I think they should have set up a tape for the finish line though. They probably didn't because that might have spooked the horse.

How big a head start against a centipede?

What's with the people hating on Johnson? He did this for charity.

I don't understand it too,Its not like he was plugging his jersey or some apparel with his name on it nor was it to promote some type of business he has on the side..He did it for a great reason and took a chance on getting injured for the kids charity which I am sure came back with some decent money for it - I admire Chad Johnson

You'd think someone would have timed the horse and timed Johnson, and arranged for it to be closer.

Anyway, go Chad. Among the look-at-me players in this league, he's the only one I can tolerate and I enjoy him. He's the only one that actually has the charisma and talent to pull it off.

Oh boy - RayClay's now opened a whole can of worms!

Thanks to Chad Johnson's exciting exposition of man against horse I see a vibrant new sport being born!

Up next - Chad Johnson against a snail. I think the snail will probably be given a substantial head start.

Can Chad overcome that disadvantage? Thousands, if not dozens of people, given the interest many of our own fans have shown in the horse race, will tune in to find out!

All of this, like the horse race, will prove something important... I'm just not sure what.

It's very hard not to like Chad Johnson. He can laugh at himself. And this little stunt was quite entertaining.

I understand that the same jockey (different horse, I'm sure) ran a race against Chris Collingswood a few years ago--and the horse won.

This kind of stuff has a very long tradition...a few hundred years ago, it was a horse against a locomotive.

Ok, I looked it up: The locomotive vs. horse race took place in 1830, on the Baltimore and Ohio RR. It pitted the Tom Thumb, a small but very powerful locomotive against a fast race horse. The horse won, although the engine was well ahead when it threw a drive belt and stalled.

Of course, with Chad Johnson, there was another consideration no one has mentioned--how the Bengals might have reacted if he'd pulled a hammy. Needless to say, I'm glad it wasn't Chad Jackson against the horse.

Jackson would have been put on IR before the horse's gate even opened

Well, fellow Mainah, I don't personally find it that difficult to not like this guy. Those ME ME ME athletes usually don't garner much sympathy from me. There's no doubting his talent level, but I could personally do without the act around it...

The point is it was a total scam - whether it was for charity or not. Don't scams bother you ? They sure do me - no matter what the 'excuse' for the scam.

What do you mean by 'scam'? -
Did money from this event go to a charity of his choice? - YES
Did Chad get money to do this event? - NO
If any Patriot player did something for charity would you not be proud of him? - YES

So whats the big deal?

There are far more worse type of guys in the NFL (Vick,Pacman,Henry ect) - Those are the types of guys you should look down on.the guys that care about no one but themselves and thier thug-type way of life or finding ways to make money by using dogs to kill each other.

Going out on Sebago lake? I actually think my favorite lake in that area is long lake.

I don't have a favorite. We have two cottages plus a newly built home on the beach on Long Beach. My grandfather used to own the restaurant and gas pumps/dock/boat rentals cottages from the 50's to the 70's I think.
