NFL owners to discuss changing Goodell's role in disciplinary process

Please, step away from the computer for 5 minutes and smoke some weed or something.
I wish I had some, but a good suggestion nonetheless.

I digress Ivan. You're right to call me out for the name calling. That's wrong, I'm just tired of the name calling thrown at Kraft. I don't think he deserves to be a punching bag after everything he's done for this franchise.

Again, it's like some kid living in a $6 million dollar mansion with butlers and maids and nannies complaing to another kid in foster care who's parents are dead because the OD'ed on heroin about how much his life sucks.

Give me a break.
Sorry for the long write-up

I understand your point, but some fans may feel that Kraft has betrayed their trust and that's what they are reacting to. There's no right or wrong answer it just depends on what you value and what's important to you.

We all appreciate what Kraft has done to make this the model franchise that it is and for having the foresight to hire BB and allow BB to run the entire operations. We've paid into the program and we believed Kraft was "one of us" a fan of the team.

Many even continued to show him support when we lost draft picks in 2007. Since that time, Kraft has swung to the other side in supporting a commissioner who has done nothing but disparage and bring unwanted negative attention to our team. Even as far as the commissioner and his group making stuff up to paint our QB (the guy who has allowed us to be part of 6 SBs, winning 4) as one of the worst people to ever play this game.

Meanwhile, Kraft talked tough, but when it can time to draw lines, he balked and got back in line with his group of owners.

Think of it this way and I'll try to make an analogy that applies to me that might explain the other side's thinking. I have begun investing in stocks and I use a value-investing style (think Warren Buffet type, but certainly without his abilities or resources). I want to own a company that has a durable competitive advantage (wins alot) and great management (Kraft) that runs the business with my value set.

When the story changes (long term/permanent change not a short term roller coaster ride), I have to evaluate my position and standing in that company and if ti's for the worse, I pull my exit strategy and seek to get out of that company.

The story with Kraft has appeared to have changed. Not saying Kraft isn't doing anything they wouldn't have, but we now know more than we did. His story has changed.

How many people would abandon Whole Foods if they found out that they were using produce with GMO's (genetically Modified Organisms). Lots of them would be my guess.

What an F'ing joke. Look, the problem ISN'T the CBA!!! It isn't Article 46; it is the COMMISSIONER who is drunk with power. Article 46 was formerly a sacred clause that was necessary for good men like Tagliabue and Rozelle to have final say to protect the true integrity of the game, rather than to have some wannabe dictator put on a Nazi-like propaganda campaign of misinformation information, deny fundamental fairness and setup a kangaroo court.

Just FIRE this moron!!! Just based on the fact you need to neuter him, says a lot. He will ultimately cause great, irreparable harm to the NFL.

If the NFL owners were even following their OWN rules, they'd look to Article VIII on Page 28

"The League SHALL select and a employ a person of UNQUESTIONED INTEGRITY to serve as commissioner..."

Is there ANYONE out there who could credibly assert that Roger has "unquestioned integrity" after being cited by TWO federal court judges for outright LYING in his efforts to pursue punishment for matters he can offer no proof for

I really wish a reporter would call the owners out on something like this

A well reasoned and rational response Relocated. Am I dissappointed with everything that happened? Of course. It's just I'm an overall picture kind of guy.

Tom Brady is still on the field and we're 9-0. The company I've decided to invest my loyaty in has had an almost unparrelled amount of success for 21+ years and this is all due to a solid owner who has brought us a fantastic product. Some day Tom will retire and Bill will be gone. I stood by this team and company before it was relevent and successful and I'll be there when the inevitable tough times come back.

I'm no fickle fair-weather bandwagon fan. This is my team that represents the region where I live and I will staunchly defend them as I did before the good times arrived and when they are gone.

My position will not change. Ian started this site in March of 2000, before any of this happened. I'm forever grateful he did. This cat doesn't change his spots.

So whatever Kraft does is fine?
Belichick and Brady are responsible for the success and krafts allegiance with the 31 over what best for his franchise just makes it more difficult for them.
Your position seems to be you will support the team no matter what so did you support kiam and orthwein? If Kraft hadn't hired bb and we spent the last 15 years looking like the Jets would you feel the same way?

Yes Andy, I have and always will support the New England Patriots franchise no matter what.

That is my position and I will never waiver, Period.

If you don't like it, I don't care. Never question my loyalty again.

My stance is confirmed and I don't give a sh!t if you or anyone else doesn't like it.

I'm a Patriot fan no strings attatched. If your not then go **** yourself.

Good day sir.

How many people here are still angry at Paul Tagliuable for docking us a 1st Rd pick to get BB as a head coach?

Anyone remeber that? We got spanked a 1st Rd pick for poaching Bill from the Jets. That wasn't Goodell who slapped us, that was Tags. Lets hear the hate for that. C'mon, smoke the board with your indignation!

Whole lotta nothing is what I expect. Hypocrytes.

Me: Crystal clear

You: Obnoxiously vague

That's how I see things.

Bob Kraft is the greatest owner in the history of sports.

I've had it with you little sniping *****-ass whiny teet-sucking spoiled brats. You've been able to enjoy the best team in football for the last 21+ years and it's because Bob effin' Kraft made it happen.

Rotten spoiled brats, the whole lot of you. You make me sick.

It was actually compensation worked out between Bob and Tuna. BBs contract with the Jets was pretty iron-clad...

Total BS comparison, you ignorant moron.

The Jets owned the rights to BB and had the absolute legal right to block him from the NE job. BB was under contract. His quitting didn't release him from the contract. While the Jets couldn't force him to coach the team it is black letter contract law that they could prevent him from taking any NFL coaching job until the end date of the contract.

Tags brokered a deal where the Jets agreed to release BB from the contract in return for the picks from NE.

Learn some team history before you mouth off ignorantly again.

No, he says he's really not drinking.

This is a disappointment to me. All this time I thought of Kraft as friendly & happy when besotted.

Calling me an "ignorant moron" is a personal attack. I'm well aware of the history of this franchise.

If you want to refute my statements in the future, please do so in a respectfull manner, I welcome that interaction.

I think you've demonstrated it to be a fact
