Week 9 NFL Television: Once Again Fox in CT Broadcasts Giants over Patriots

I hear ya...I live in Brooklyn, Ct and won't be able to watch the Pats...gonna havta listen to the game on WEEI I guess...this BLOWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fox 61 Awful as Usual

Yet again, Fox 61 here in Connecticut has decided we are not Patriots fans. Proving once and for all, they are awful. Whenever I see a game on Fox, I know I'm potentially screwed.

Let's just hope that if Fox carries a Super Bowl the Patriots are involved in, they'll bother to cover that.
 
Open google. Type "Reddit NFL" and click on the second suggestion.

It's not 61's fault, it's the NFL broadcast rules' fault.

For reasons that are not entirely clear to me, "secondary markets" (and WTIC is considered a secondary market of the Giants) are contractually obligated to show a team's away games. Giants are @TB, so WTIC must show that game. [This is a bit frustrating when the Patriots are on FOX, since that generally only happens when they host an NFC opponent.]
 
That is a stupid contract then! Grrrr...
