He was inactive because Belichick (and Josh and Tom) prefer a healthy Martin to Dobson. There is no rocker science here.

That's a given based on who was suited up and who wasn't. I just think Dobson has done well when he has received the opportunity to do so, so that decision in itself is puzzling to me. Obviously I'm gonna side with Bill because he's the GOAT.

I agree. Martin is playing like his life is on the line. I believe mister Dobson needs to adopt a real sense of urgency here, if he wants to stick. Brandon LaFell right around the corner.

Blocking is one of the (few?) things Dobson does well. Belichick was very complimentary about that skill just a few weeks back.

That said, I think it is time for me to put this thread on ignore. No offense to anyone in particular, I'm just done with Dobson talk until something meaningful happens.

Don't think anything will happen to Dobson when Lafell is activated; now when Storks and Fletcher are activated, that's going to be another story.

Yes but Thorton has 5 players in front of him that play his position whereas as of this moment, Dobson has three.

If I were the GM of a rebuilding team, say a Lions or a Niners, I'd make the same offer as the Pats make to other teams to get players who aren't fitting but have talent from a team. Dobson for a conditional pick or Dobson for trading back a round in the draft.

Seriously, wouldn't you love some media type to ask BB (and him answer truthfully), "What's your current current evaluation of Aaron Dobson and the role you envision he'll play with the Pats going forward?", and be done with it?!
