Jets bring 350 rolls of toilet paper to London because British variety is too thin

They have high jersey sale expectation.

Been to Europe many times. The only time I saw a bidet was here in the states. Also, I don't understand what the big deal is with European/English TP. I've never had an issue. Some people spend too much time worrying if their ass is being pampered.

Is their hotel the only place their going to do their business. Are they going to bring it with them everywhere they go. I mean 53 large athletic men with beats headphones, overpriced designer shoes and some charmin. Wow the optics of that is just priceless!

The only issue I've had with European toilet paper is in Greece, where you're not allowed to flush it down the toilet. Little trash cans next to every throne...

TMI .... that's harsh LOL.

Sorry guys but this is a pretty ****ty thread. Damn it bye weeks suck.

So if the Jet's win does the toilet paper supplier get the game ball?

you gotta be shiiitin' me.

new york ****s-****s-****s!

What's the big deal? Everybody knows the Jets organization and their fanbase are filled with overly-sensitive assholes...

I spent two weeks in France this past May. Stayed at three different B and B's and two hotels. No sign of a bidet in any of them.

I lived in Germany for four years, England for three and Spain for two and saw one bidet and one stall with just a hole in the floor.

It's a story like this that makes me wish David Letterman hadn't retired. I can't begin to imagine what he would do with it, but I know I'd be chuckling for days. Perhaps a top ten list...

The top ten reasons the Jets brought 350 rolls of toilet paper to London.

Here are a few (some better than others). Feel free to add more:

"We all know what happens when they even think about the Patriots."

"They never could get Sanchez' helmet clean after the butt fumble."

"They won't have the New York Post."

"John Idzik got it in a trade for a #1 Draft Pick and they had to use it for something."

"Woody Johnson thinks they use it to stuff the footballs."

"Roger Goodell told them it would cause a rash and they could blame the Patriots."

"They were planning on toilet papering the Roethlisberger statue in London..called Big Ben"

That's in Italy and Spain as well. I'm assuming you're on the islands? What they are asking you to do is not flush sanitary napkins down the toilet. Everyone flushes their #2 wipes. But you have to be careful.

When I was in Normandy last year, in several places they had public bathrooms that were not gender specific.. it was strange, but then it made sense.

I found out what women do in the bathroom, it ain't all about relieving themselves.. out comes the purse with combs and make up...

Getting back to the Jets maybe they did not think that the players could learn a second language, British, and could not remember terms like "loo roll" or "bog roll".. they gave every player a copy of "British for Dummies", but most could not get past the opening page.

I imagine the last things hotels want to do is clean up after Americans who don't know how to properly use a bidet. I can vouch for the fact that they exist in many private homes on the continent. In the US, it's probably the reverse. Hotels that cater to Europeans have them, but rarely do you see them in homes.

Slow down buddy. Plenty of homes have bidets.

and water fountains

Portable Camping bidets

Nope -- it's TP. Yes, all TP.

Plumbing in Greece

It's not that the plumbing is bad. It's just that it's adapted to the environment.

You were most probably in a holiday resort on a Greek island. And they are EXTREMELY arid. Many of them just have water brought in by tanker once a week in the summer. So saving water is imperative.

If having to adapt some of your expectations is too high a price to pay for being somewhere with beautiful clear, sparkling seas, fine. But it's not as though the Greeks don't know what they're doing.

Nope, even in Athens. Signs in bathrooms everywhere, from private homes to the Athens airport, urgently warning us against flushing ANYTHING paper.

Just to be clear, I'm not bashing Greece at all! They obviously have good reasons. It was just a throwaway (ahem) comment in this classic Patsfans discussion on toilet papers of the world.
