Throwing lots of quick hitters slows a pass rush. Throwing swing passes is less dangerous than throwing into the middle of the field.

Again I say -- why?

If the pass rusher would be responsible for tackling the receiver, that would be obvious, but that's not the case on these plays.

If he would be responsible for getting his hands in the throwing lane, it's semi-obvious, but that might be the case for one rusher.

But if you prefer to keep making the assertion rather than explaining it, that's OK.

Quick passes tire out pass rushers because they have to keep getting up and trying to spring upfield against guys that are bigger than stronger with them. They tire quickly, and quick passes tire them faster.
