Everything the Texans do is "Wong," seriously. They have very questionable talent evaluators on top of a newer regime wanting/needing to make an impact. If they think he's done, they're probably wrong. If Wong still wants to play, I think he'd be the final lynchpin we need to be a big bad and deep D. He'd look great with a Flying Elvis on his helmet. Of course, signing one more supposedly washed up or washed out veteran will officially make us Raiders (in their heyday) East.
Not a lot of open positions, perhaps a vet can be brought in to fight Mays, Lua, Rogers, Alexander, Woods for the last roster spot but with the above list LB is as deep and as talented as any group in the league.
Time to switch gears... next up backup NT and CB if Samuel doesn't sign..
SF may be good next year, and they may not be. But the DRAFT CLASS next year is very likely to be much better. BB/Pioli clearly didn't like this class AT ALL.
As for your "wish" that they would explain why they "refuse to infuse some talent into the ILB position" - I don't accept the premise of your point (they have tried to bring in young LBs), but if I had to guess, it's probably because they're stupid and bad at their jobs.
