So who's your deep threaten the roster if you put Harper in instead of Dobson? This team needs someone who can take the top off. Gibson is a decent LaFell backup and can block in the running game and Harper is similar in terms of role to Amendola. I think the WR roster needs some balance personally.

Note: I've never been a Dobson fan so it's not like I'm clinging on to a guy I liked.

You must have missed the season that Matt Cassel took over for Brady when he was hurt. The trade Brady Discussions were rampant in here. They were disgusting. I expect everyone who posted in that thread to deny it. They will. They did it then and they will do it now. Sad when your own fan base can't wait for you to be gone every time a new shiny toy shows up.

Said it before.Some of us dont deserve this team . We question every move BB makes like why play brady to why not trade brady etc etc. These 2 guys have given this franchise for 15 yrs something which may not be replicated again. Yet , we willingly kill them on the first instance of perceived trouble forgetting their track record of doing things.

There never was a first string secondary for the Saints, but he looked composed at all times, aside from the INT. It was a top performance.

I've never bothered to check it, but I'd be willing to bet a buck or two that at least two pro-trade-Brady posters in that thread were also anti-Cassel in the "End the Cassel Experiment" threads.

One of my friends just called and said that BB is trying to make Brady look bad so that he can get rid of him. I asked her, why do you say that? She said because the Oline blocked better for Jimmy G than for Brady. The offense executed for Jimmy G, but didn't execute for Brady. She thinks management set it up that way. I said Lord have mercy when I heard that. Where do people get this stuff? I expect the trade/cut Brady crowd to make noise this week, but what that girl just told me is ridiculous.
I shouldn't have answered my phone. Brady looked bad because he was bad.

WOW! You realize that we have DA for peanuts this year. And you want to think about replacing one of our most clutch playoff players with a rookie who has never taken a snap in the NFL.

There's a difference between "want" and "not opposed". I was thinking about how Harper gets on the roster. I don't believe Amendola has a pre-season catch yet and he didn't look that good out there today. I have been a vociferous Amendola defender (just ask @Brady6 ) but as it always is with roster cuts, if you player A on the team, sometimes Player B needs to be sacrificed.

Jimmy G's showing was the biggest plus overall BUT...we have this WR that has glue for hands and gets open on a consistent basis against 1st, 2nd and 3rd string backfields. He's a player. Just as much as I thought Boyce was a bust LAST season I think THIS kid Harper is a definite keeper

My only issue with Brady is that he throws to the regular guys like Amendola and Hooman, almost to a fault. That's where most of his misses went today. It would be nice to see him give guys like Krause and Harper a chance. It worked for Jimmy G so I don't see why it can't work for Brady. It's understandable, he's throwing to the guys he knows and is comfortable with - I'd just like to see him be a bit more adventurous.

Good to hear. I have much more confidence in JG than I did in RM. Darth Hoodie has him one dependable backup.

First of all its PS, so everything is BS. We see this stuff every year. Secondly how many snaps/targets has DA had?

I do know that DA is has been far and away the most productive WR in camp. And making matters worse, Lafell is hurt and JE ha caught about 15 balls all camp. He is injured too. Dobson is injured and very injury prone.

So our two starting WRs are hurt and AD and being AD and may never play.

We have DA for a steal and he is a great special teamer. Why would you even make this suggestion? Brady has been terrible....what does that mean?
