Geno probably will take even longer to come back. If he had surgery, it is likely his jaw will be wired shut. Which means that he will most likely lose muscle mass over the next few weeks.

Good point! Losing muscle mass in the mouth is fatal for a member of the jets since talking is their greatest (and only!) strength.

If this were any other organization excluding the Colts, Steelers, and Ravens, the unrelated repeat offenses of Revis tampering, Sheldon Richardson and Gamblegate would result in two first round draft picks gone and Geno suspended for 8 games. Maybe the Jets have been throwing games this whole time? The league should hand the entire organization the Pete Rose treatment and kick them out of the league and erase their one trophy from the record book.

This goes back to the late 60s when Broadway Joe was allowing members of the Colombo and Luchesse Crime Families run bookmaking ops in his club. All Rozelle did was tell Joe to sell the place and stop going there.
