For some reason I was thinking about him yesterday without hearing of this.

RIP

RIP to the Giffer as Cosell would call him.

Dandy Don, Howard and Frank.. a trio that in many ways revolutionized television football broadcasting..

He was not a bad halfback for the NY Giants either.. RIP Frank.

Gifford was a big star in the 50's, I remember watching the game where he was almost killed by Chuck Bednarick who also passed away this year.

Perhaps football's most famous concussion.

Monday nights was great with that crew ... good memories ... RIP Frank.

Growing up as a kid in the 70s and loving football the way I did and still do. I watched every Monday Night Football Game and Frank's voice, let me say it again, Frank's voice, the MNF intro. Words can't describe how great it was and it will never be replicated.

Now that's plaquage!

Growing up in Boston in the '50s, the Giants were the hometown team for New England and Gifford was the start for the them. I can still remember the Championship game between them and the Colts and believing that the Giants were shafted by a bad ball placement. RIP No. 16

RIP ...One of my favorites growing up.....Giants fan prior to A.F.L. and Patriots formation..

RIP Frank....you Howard and Dandy Don made Monday Night Football great
