Scott Chandler makes strong first impression. Tight end Scott Chandler, who signed with the Patriots in March after five seasons with the Bills, is getting favorable reviews. "Scott's been a tremendous veteran addition to our team," offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels said. "He has a great work ethic, he's come in here and done everything he could to catch up. He has a good rapport with the quarterbacks and the other tight ends and he's very coachable, very intelligent and in great condition. He's everything you could ask somebody to come here and be at this point in the year."

It's not like he hasn't got "can someone please cover this guy" retorts in the past. He has had a good game vs us at least in one of the two games the Bills played us the last couple of seasons. No surprise especially with an elite weapon throwing him the ball. He must be dumbfounded by what is like to take accurate passes from The Goat And probably didn't realize it could be this easy

Goat QB throwing to him and Goat TE taking attention away from him.

Single coverage all game every game he will be living large. This O if healthy will lead the league in scoring.

I like Jones ... but his problem area won't be seen at OTA's
If he could only defeat his blockers a bit more often .... maybe he has improved in that area ... we'll see.
That said he will have more opportunity this year as we finally have a group of players who can get to the QB.

Funny. The thread is about Scott Chandler and you comment on Chandler Jones.

With that said I agree with you.

Really looking forward to the Tight End duo of Chandler and Gronk, especially in the red zone. It has the potential to be the best in the NFL.

Belichick is probably well aware of how and why Chandler was always beating them too, so I'm sure just like Welker they'll know exactly how to utilize him.

Really excited about the offense this coming season.. It really stinks losing Vereen, but I think they're as good or better at every other position across the board when you factor in guys that are in their 2nd year now too.

Still not sure how many targets he'll see.

Hes a potential 60 catch guy in this offense no question.

We need to come up with a name for the Gronk/Chandler duo.

My take is this, the Pats were #1 in red zone trips last season but #9 in TD % per red zone trip.

With this line up, Devlin/Blount, Edleman, LaFell, Chandler, Gronk, this could be the most efficient red zone team in the league. However many catches he gets is good with me, the combinations will give Brady many options and he WILL make the right choices.

RZ O should kill it this year with Blount..Gronk..Chandler...and the GOAT

I would agree.

The offense is going to be unreal. The protection should be improved and the receivers/TEs can't be covered. The only weak spots are at RB on offense and of course the secondary.

ANd i play FF...and i will want all pats players haha

I keep seeing G.O.A.T being spoken of here. When did Luck get traded to the Pats, did I miss something!?

Gronkowski and Hoomanawanui were probably already the best TE duo in the NFL, just by virtue of the fact that the duo includes Gronk
