I sort of see Brady and Manning as Larry and Magic and the league peaking later in these guys career......now there are some differences, but with the way the league is enforcing things is reminding me of how david stern basically took control of the league including the results, and the game turned to crap

whenever anyone tried to control the outcome, things turn to crap and it appears that the league is enforcing parity ... they want brady out long enough so that the pats don't make the playoffs because they know if the pats do make the playoffs, the odds are too good that the pats go all the way again and they can't have that

the league wants to be a passing league, but they don't have enough QB's........planets are lining up for some strange things.....in 10 years, offensive schemes are going to be completely different with guys like russell wilson just throwing it up there for grabs......kind of the way the NBA game has gone

The Ravens are ahead of the curve

Fan since the 1970s. Ive flown around America to watch this team. I meet my two brothers for games, since we live far apart. We make it a brother's weekend. I used to drive 2 hours to Foxboro from New Haven as a kid. I've lived and died with this team. I could tell you Ron Erhardt's starting 22. I am a big Patriots fan.

If it sounds like it would be very difficult for me to give this up, after devoting my time and money to it for so many years, I can tell you that I am easily turned off by nonsense. I was an even bigger Sox fan growing up. 75, 77 and 78 are burned into my brain. lived in a neighborhood that was half Sox, half Yanks. We played 3 baseball sandlot games a day in summer. I decided to go to Boston U. only because it was next to Fenway. In the 80s, I used to get out of class and walk to the Park after the 7th inn. stretch, when they opened the bleachers and you walked in for free to see the last few innings. I was grandfathered in for alcohol and I'd drink in the bleachers. It was heaven. In 86, I was one of the doofuses chanting "Oil Can" outside the park during the World Series.

By the time the WS wins in the 2000s came around, i was already done w/ baseball, done w/ mercenaries like Schilling, the wacked out structure that gave the Yankees as many good players as they could hoard, the strikes and the silliness. I no longer watch baseball. NBA has lost me too.

I have hopefully another 30 years to live, maybe 20 if I die around 70. I will find other things to do. I still have kids playing sports. I have other interests. The NFL is very close to losing me, and so is Kraft and the Patriots.

One of the big reasons we've been traveling around to see the Patriots so much is Tom Brady. Im not going to go into depth of what I think of him, but he is a marvel. Never seen anything like him before, and I never will again. Our sports watching years are probably only 50-60 years long if we're intense fans. Brady might play for 15-20 of those years, or a qtr. to a third of our years. This is why this is all so fleeting.

If the worst happens, I am out! And since I am out, I expect Brady might also entertain such thoughts. This is becoming worse than NBA, it is very pro wrestling like now.
