I hope it's a 4 game suspension. Jimmy G plays lights out during those 4 games and we end up trading him for a 1st and a 2nd and then Brady comes back to set the single game passing yardage and TD records against the Colts in game 5 with balls inflated by 200 psi by the refs.

His last throw of the game is directly into the hands of D'Qwell Jackson and Brady says "More probably than not you can go **** yourself."

I'd rather see Goodell suspended for tarnishing the shield.

I would rather see that ball land in the hands of Goodell but I get it.

Goodell

I really want a Patriots vs Saints SB 50 in the ultimate F U Goodell and Co Superbowl

I'm surprised they are going to wait until later today and they haven't already given it out... it's been almost 48 hours already. How long did the Revis tampering penalty take?

That's because Goodell is a a lap dog of the New York media. He wanted to see how the media reacted before making a decision. This whole thing is a set-up to make Roger look like he can be competent. He's looking for a way to save face after the Ray Rice fiasco.

This league is going to be in a state of disarray until they get some real leadership.

So Bob, can the Omissioner be fired?

Is THAT unappealable too?

Grow a set or relinquish control of the team to someone who will.
I have to agree, Kraft is laying down and accepting ANY punishment like a little *****, he has no balls (pardon the pun).

He won't because he's a part-owner of the NFL. He cares about his stake in the NFL first and foremost, far more than establishing any kind of a precedent that individual owners aren't subject to league authority.

Which leads me to the same conclusion you have: he's spineless and needs to get the **** out of here. Done with Kraft.

Kraft has no choice. The rules are different for teams and non-player team employees.

I have no idea what's gonna happen, but I think "the sooner the better" is probably the right way to look at it. The best chance for a penalty that vaguely approaches reasonableness is if it is handed down today. The media howling will only get louder over the weekend and we all know how courageous Goodell is when it comes to standing up to the media.

I think Goodell is probably trying to decide between imposing a harsh penalty that will sate the media beast and some of the more jealous owners but that will lead to a protracted and ugly fight with Brady (that Brady might actually win) or imposing a more or less reasonable penalty that will enrage the media but that Brady, while still calling it "unfair," would not feel compelled to fight.

Going to battle with Rice and Peterson was a "win win" for Goodell. Going to battle with Brady, when the facts are muddy and a long disclosure process would embarrass everybody is a different proposition. Plus, the Brady/Bundchen pockets are deep enough that I could see them hiring a Bob Barnett or David Boies and making Goodell's life miserable in a highly visible way for a long time.

Or maybe he gaging whether he can get away with taking the Pats 2016 1st round pick.

That would really be helpful to the Rats if he can get away with that.
