I don't think it would be a matter of Shaughnessy himself being right so much as some of the actual reporters he knows passing on what they're hearing. Safer for him to say this the way he did than, say, Volin. Shaughnessy is an idiot but he's not stupid; I don't think he puts this out there for no reason.

Honestly, as much as Shaughnessy makes me irate, I do respect him more than the majority of folks out there. He's an unbearable troll, but he doesn't try to hide it, and he's skilled at it. He's not just stupid, he actively tries to take the opinion that will piss the most people off, he doesn't just happen there by not being informed (like most). He's also a much better writer than these hacks nowadays. You are right, he's not an idiot.

Looking at CHB's actual Twitter post, sounds like he's not the first to say he expects the report today. So he could be right but only because others were right first.

Maybe the "Sharks of Las Vegas" is Shanks alter ego.. and that is where he tries to play with the big boys...

The Sharks of Las Vegas might have credible info, particularly if you look at how the information was released; Kravitz in the middle of the night, Mortenson Late Monday nite and Peter King early Wed AM.. so this may be a new PR method of the NFL.. release info at different times, from different people..

Then Goodell can say that he will get to the bottom of these leaks, but will never be utter a comment about this again..

Well, that sucks. If you read all this tweets though - what he says is simply that no one knows what is in the report. So it's not as if he is reporting that the opposite is the case (that we're getting slammed).

Probably just talked to someone who had read SoV and then reported it as fact...

There really should be a full-length movie about deflategate someday. It's a story too crazy and winding for any scriptwriter's imagination.

The story should be the first example of the "don'ts" that they show journalist students.
