You know the draft is getting slow when on ESPN they are talking about Pumpkin pie

I'm not sure if you're thinking of Chris Polk but he was a RB that had injury concerns. I posted a similar comment earlier.

I've been ripping my hair out wishing for McBride thus far... Since about round 4, pick 2.
No.. I was thinking of Rogers.. He was touted as a 2nd round pick and plummetted.. I know he ended up with the Colts and then with KC..

The reality at WR may be that Belichick chose his WR competition in free agency. He may be well satisfied with the following competing for the 4th WR position, and 5th if there is one.

DOBSON
TYMS
BOYCE
DORSEY
GIBSON

And yes, he can still draft a WR in the 5th and/or sign an additional red agent or two.

Derby has to be a practice squad guy, right? No way he makes the final roster

intriguing pick. One year's experience, former qb and lb. Lots of upside. Big receiveing TE and better blocker than reported, from what i can see.

Da'Rick Rogers? I'm pretty sure there were pretty serious character concerns surrounding him... Enough to throw up the red flags. No one wanted anything to do with him on draft day, but now I can't remember why.

Hard to say, ESPN talks nonsense like that during games. "Ya know Tom Brady has never won a Monday night game here in Kansas City three nights after having a slice of pumpkin pie and you have to think that's on the Patriots mind tonight Mike."

Can we draft Brandon Bridge to make training camp a little more interesting? Love watching the QBs.

He's from UNH what can you except? He woulda learned better here at UMaine.
Don't be knocking the University of No Hope.

It's wierd about McBride.. He comes from a military family. He was recruited by Harvard for his academics. Also recruited by Navy, Air Force, and Duke. Chose William and Mary.. Produced excellent numbers there. Supposedly has great character both on and off the field..

Here is what NFLDraftScout had to say:
Smooth athleticism and quickness out of his breaks with sharp footwork to gear up naturally. Gets good depth and takes advantage of coverages, hiding and selling his path. Nice job finding soft zones and has some shake after the catch. Excellent tracking skills, using his body to gain position and attack with his soft hands. Knows where the sticks are with terrific field awareness before and after the catch. Experienced lining up inside and outside.

With all the fans reading out picks for their teams, a funny thought popped into my head.

Imagine one of our awesome draft forum posters winning a lottery to draft for the Pats

Mayo/manx/wilfork75/midwest steps up to the podium, takes a look at the card with some crazy pick, and thinks 'f*** this'

"With the 247th pick in the 2015 NFL draft, the New England Patriots select Tre McBride, WR, William & Mary"

Yes, please.

Can a Mod make this happen?

I'm depressed they didn't draft a running back. I like Blount and all but he's not overly exciting... Maybe Gaffney, Gray and Cadet produce above expectations and I'm surprised. Oh well.

That is a surprise. Tyler Gaffney confidence?

Yeah.. all the things that McBride supposedly doesn't have.. That is what is weird..

Don't be knocking the University of No Hope.
Hah don't think I've heard that one. I actually saw UNH come to town here back in November, they still run a Chip Kelly style offense. Went for it on 4th down almost every time and went for two every time too I believe.

7th round is usually our most interesting round.
