5'11" 211lbs is NOT too small to play SS at all. Where the hell are people getting this "too small" crap from?

I am just drained. I was so happy seeing all those LBs, tackles, and crappy corners going through the whole round. Every pick seemed to be working in the Pats favor. Closer and closer we got and I was so excited. We could have gone in so many directions with all those great players still out there.

Glad I didn't watch the draft tonight, what a ****ty, but typical ****ed up huge reach and waste of a 2nd round pick. The Patriots 2nd round should be known as the "Patriots throw away a high draft slot, take a ****ty DB round". If I had seen it live I'd be in the market for a new TV. People made fun of the Colt's pick last night, well this takes the cake. Couldn't have made a worst pick if you tried to do it on purpose, lol.

This is the price you pay for having BB as your coach. His ego is huge. He knows he can get him later... he has to know... I would keep BB as my coach but these picks are bad period. No defense.

His ego is not so huge that he will intentionally sabotage his team to massage it.

Bottom Line
A limited, run-support safety whose coverage issues could be an issue for NFL teams looking for diverse safety play. He's a willing tackler who plays with range in run support, but Richards' lack of instincts and ability to stick receivers in space could limit his NFL opportunities.


Cann was needed...not him

As for Richards, that has to mean cover or a form of Tampa-2. It's a good way to compensate for the CB weaknesses.

Now that AJ Cann is gone they can draft Shaq Mason with 96. Yeah it's too bad he will be overdrafted by two drafts but so what at this point.
