That is a draft that makes fair sense. Not that I like Meriweather particularly, but the value at each position is fairly judged, and the fit for the Patriots is such that we could envision three starters emerging from the three first day picks.
Meriweather might replace Wilson if he were to leave in a year or two, and could bea fifth DB, in the mean time. he could beef up enough and his tackling and hitting, might improve enough to challenge Sanders for the nominal SS job.
I suspect that Harris will turn into a very good SILB starter and an eventual "Mike Man" who has the sense and aptitude to call defenses and set players. SILB is manned by an out-of-position player so the oportunity is there for him to advance as rapidly as he can.
Sepulveda could be the Pats punter for a decade and a half, joining Gostkowski as a ST star. That is something that is always of concern to BB.
